I have the money and the skills to get one of these two ships. I can't decide between them. The Caracal is better in combat from what I have headr, but the MOA has so much more versatility. How much better is a Cara in combat? Is it worth giving up the extra shielding and slots of a MOA? My main thing is combat, but it is not all i do. Wich ship?

you can do more damage in a caracal than a moa but you are much weaker and have less agility and fewer low slots
in a moa you can heavy hit and take heavy hits or even sheild harden against npc, in a carcal you are a heavyier hitter but with a longer time before your damage is inflicted due to missile flight speed, and you cant take as many hits

Moa takes the use of Gunnery aswell as Missiles so uses slightly more skills gamewise but in essence its a simpler ship to use. If you have the ability to manouver and use your range and feel confident in this then take the Caracal. Oh and if your doing Agent missions against NPC's ALWAYS use the Caracal, you can take on 3 Moa's at once if you manouver correctly with the right setup

I use a Caracal, for npcs its great. I have no trouble with any level 3 mission rats.
I shield tank it and dont even bother to move, use double hardeners tuned to mission, tech II booster and boost amp they will never even get close to breaching your shields. And i have really low combat skills. I spend more time collecting loot cans then killing the rats :(

I went ahead witht he MOA. I liked the versatility better. It diddnt seem to be much worse in combat then a caracal.
