Can someone clarify for me about the large shadow control tower.

With the bonuses to silos does that mean i would have to empty my silos less as it holds more? and is it worth it if you are a serious moon miner?

yep silos carry more, thus you dont have to empty em every day, there are better bonuses out there if u live and breathe your pos and empty its silo atleast once a day, most dont though.
edit - plus the extra capacity can stave off missing a cycle because you couldnt log on for some reason to empty the silo.

Shadow, Serpentis, and Gallente towers have a 100% silo capacity bonus.
Dark~Blood/True~Sansha/Amarr towers have a 50% silo bonus.
The Gallente ones real advantage comes when doing complex reactions. 3 silos for the output means that you can empty the thing only weekly, and still have spare CPU for say, another miner + silo + defense, or some other mods.
They are of course semi-useful for direct mining too, a small tower with the silo bonus can chew away at a moon unattended for around a month.
Amarr versions are less useful for reactions as they have pitiful CPU.
Generally Caldari or Gallente POS's are the ones to choose for moon mining/reacting. If you're just mining and in more hostile territory the minmatar/amarr ones can be ok.

Are silo bonuses now reliable? There were quite many posts about related bugs year or so ago.
The last time (couple weeks pre-patch) I run small gallente tower, the siloes did display standard 20k after a few days running.
Never really tested if it was only a display bug thought.

The silo bonuses have been working reliably for at least 2 years ;)
The only bug with them was if you tried to put say 41k in, the partial move would only let you put in 20k. If you put in 40k exactly it would work, and they would fill up to 40k.

my gal pos silo's show a capacity of 20k but you can put more in them, this may seem ok but they are still pretty buggy as far as i can see, although they do fill up to 40k so its not all bad.
