The ATI Radeon 9600 isn't on the list of supported cards for EVE, but I figured that I'd check to see if anyone is running EVE with this card, or has attempted to do so. |

The Radeon Card works great. Been using it for last few month with no graphic problems.

I have 9600SE and have no trouble running Eve and it looks great.
However, I have horribly low fps (6-10 in small combat). I dont know why that is but probably not the card since the fps are not affected in the slightest by changing graphics options. Also the fps are the same as for my old geforce 2 (32MB)card.

Try adding more RAM or buying a faster Processor, what do you have now? |

Awesome, thanks for the response, makes the laptop purchase a little less tedious.
BTW, as of the last patch (Castor), my client runs WAY faster than before. Not sure if this was expected or not, though I did clean my cache out just after the patch was rolled out (however, the difference was just too large to blame it all on the cache). Wondering if anyone else noticed the same.
I'm running a dual P3/866 (one CPU idles as it doesn't seem that the client is multi-threaded) with 768MB RAM and a stunning 32MB Nvidia MX-style card (can't remember the model of the top of my head).

I'm running a 9600Pro, and once you change the default Z-buffer depth it runs fine. At default Z-buffer the station and ship texture show an odd 'warping' effect.
