If you want to make lv 4s hard again, fly them as they were intended when built: 1 pilot with t1 fittings. Then they will be hard again.
"Yeah seriously. L4s are way too easy. I bring my T2 battleship with fguio46509 5bil worth of mods and my alt account with a Titan. I just hit the DD button, and collect my ISK. I wish they were harder."
You're flying with stuff that the missions were not intended for. Rigs are another thing that really crank player power up a lot.
The real problem is, there's no room to make missions harder and more fun with the current standard 3bil ships running, because seriously how many times can you lose that 3bil ship and not start to ***** about it? So if they make it hard enough where there's actually risk again, but the reward is the same or reduced...you won't be able to afford to replace that 3bil ship. Probably have to start flying T1BSs again. lol And then you won't be able to even attempt the lv 4s now. Because they are now made to be completed only with a 3bil ship or something stupid.
Fly l4s witha T1 ship with maybe just some T1 named or a couple T2 fittings. No rigs. Nothing impressive. NO SECOND ACCOUNT. lol Yeah they're not so insanely easy anymore. ... Actually, if you do that you'll basically be in my shoes. There are lv 4 missions that still scare me. I fly a Rokh with T2 tank mods, T1 named guns, no navy anything, and no alt account. When I jump into a mission in that ship and I'm swarmed with DPS and scrammed, you bet your ass I'm feeling the thrill. I lose, I can MAYBE refit my setup. After the BOOM I'll have my 90mil + the cheapest insurance...so I'll be broke.
Not challenged anymore? Give away your bank roll, and go back to flying T1 ships and mods. You'll have more fun. Or maybe it's time to move on to 0.0 or pirating or something.
Getting ISK in this game was supposed to be about getting money so you can LOSE ships.
I really think the problem that caused all this was the MUDification of equipment available for L4s. That stuff maybe should have been kept to low or 0.0. Or maybe bring dynamic L5s to highsec, so the spawn is dependant on: number of pilots entering mission, combat skill points of said pilots, and the ships of said pilots.
And for people who are saying 'I do this and that to maximize my ISK per hour', I really hope you're fueling PvP because once you have your pimped out CNR and other ships, what's the point of more ISK? ISK flow is meant to drive pvp, not just sit in your wallet. --------------------
