Apparently Fleet fights and lag in general was meant to be smoother, though again its a load of poo, 500 piltos in system last night fighting in TVN, and yes it was laggy, if not more then usual, so again 0 improvement there, rather then making new gates how about fixing the game so we can play it in large scale fights, not just putting a shinny cover on it. o\ |

The game ran much better before the QR expansion TBH. I'm just assuming at this point that it will take up to a week or two before CCP hammers out most of the issues and things get back to normal.

He wants the graphic artists to work on network issues so that game is less laggy right after a new patch than just before it.
What, is the air particularly thin where you're posting from?

well if your FC did their part of homework and knew about it 24h ahead they could have had the system reinforced with a dedicated Blade...you know those new one that makes Jita playable up to 1200+ players. That or you need a better ISP, it's not always CCP,s fault that the rest of the internet can't keep up either... |

If you look closely at your keyboard you will see a button labeled '.' next to the comma. Your mission is to figure out what this is for and incorporate it into your posting.
And next time don't have a big fleet battle in a system full of piltos. They make the lag much, much worse.

GYYYYYAAAAAAGGGGHHHHHHH!!! Jeeze that is one helluva big comma splice. On a further note I personally have yet to notice more lag than normal on my end when travelling and trying to play in relatively high occupation systems. It could perhaps be that the memory leak was what was responsible for the lag. The one little leak seems to be the major actual engine problem at the moment. Personally in thinking that they lost tabs on the little dutch boy who usually plugs such leaks, that or he ran out of fingers.

Thought that the key to make the systems optimal, you'd have to let the server admins know a day in advance so the node could be reinforced. Yes, even with the new stuff. Else they share nodes.
Performance is better, but to get optimal you still need an ideal/optimal situation.

Ehm, I'm not stupid. Just pointing out why the OP is asking for something unreasonable. The expansion gave better hard- and software. To get the most out if it however, it still needs a dedicated node.
Are servers better? Yes.
Are servers significantly better? That still requires a dedicated node, just like pre-QR, but in that case.. yes.
So what's the problem? |
