Not a big fan of the domi at long range. It kind of neutralises your one big advantage... 13 (or 15 if you like insane training times) Ogres battering opponents to kingdom come. This coupled with blasters make a respectable damage dealing package at close range...
Long range, you kind of have to use either 350 or 425 rails. The lack of missles hurts, plus depending on your skills you may have issues with tanking (both yours and opponents!).
If anyone does have a good long range pvp or battleship rat hunting setup, i'd be quite interested to hear it as well..

for PVP I have found that the 350 rails fight rather nice on the Dom. I use my dom in PVP for cruiser/frig killer...
which the 350's are perfect for..

Sounds cool.. with all the changes I would not discount equiping some for of e-warfare... As trying to load up your ship with heavy guns tanks everything. Plus in a Dom your a regular air craft carrier. You should be able to mix it up in close combat with drones, four guns of choice, and e-warfare. Something other than kinetic damage type might need to be use while in combat. Turn the E on and a couple of guns. Release drones and its a pound fest.

long range, 6x 350 and very nice shield tank are quite possible. Long range ignores the doms biggest advantage ( drones ). ~{When evil and strange get together anything is possible}~ A tool is only useless when you don't know how to use it. - ActiveX The grass is always greener on the other side. - JoCool |

A long range dominix is like a shield tanking armageddon. Sure, you can do it, and it may work in some situations. But it's not what you're supposed to do.
6 named electrons (or some nosferatus mixed in) + 13-14 heavy drones = t3h win.

indeed, this seems to be the way to go, i have been experimenting with the dom for several months now, and its most effective with blasters
