You are trying to mine in an osprey. I guess you got 3 miner IIs and a heavy missile launcher right? Here is what is wrong with your setup: 1) Wrong missile launcher to face frigates. AML is your friend. 2) You got a drone bay, mkay? Any single combat drone will tear the velator apart. 3) Get some shield tanking skills. The dps the velator puts out can be tanked even with a t2 light drone. You are correct, wrong launcher. 2. Correct Again. 3. Velator can put out 120 dps with two Hobgoblin II's and Ion blaster II's, which is nothing to turn your nose up at. 4. You'll need someone with a heavy neut to remove the velators cap, and web/warrior IIs to pin it down and deal dps A carrier remote repping also helps to survive the insane damage it can put out and you'll need to kill the drones asap. We can only hope the rookie ships get the nerf they need :(

Ok, but seriously, you can beat a lot of Velators if properly fitted. Some items you probably missing in your Osprey: AML, TP, neut (!), and small drones.
