Hey--
As I look to join a corp., I was wondering if anyone had any advice on what to consider, pros/cons, etc. I've been doing mostly Gallente lvl 3 missions and am trying to find more agents.

So you want a mission running Corp? Mission running corps are usually pretty laid back and probably will take almost anyone they happen to like, regardless of skillpoints and experience. Taxes are probably low'ish.
Best to decide on what you want to do (mission/mine/pvp/mixture) and go down to the recruitment forum and pimp yourself I'd say. |

Don't join a corp that doesn't put at least some effort into recruiting you.
If you post in the recruitment forum and get a lot of copy/paste messages, don't bother with them. They aren't worth your time. |

If you are going to just run missions, don't bother. Just make/join a channel of people you like. You'll pay nothing, and you won't have to deal with people you dislike.

Be very picky, there are lots of corporations and if you just take your time, you can find yourself a perfect match.

Corps are driven by their members and the CEOs, get to know the people in the corp first. Their behaiviour may be at odds with their stated aims.
On of the most disappointing experiences you can have in Eve is to end up in a big corp at which point you become a faceless noob entity that no-one takes any notice of. Also, give consideration to what time zone the other members are in - there's no use being in the UK and in a corp full of Yanks, unless you get up really early ! (like me)
Bear in mind that CEOs and recruiters are driven by a need to get your tax and to protect themselves from spies and theives (Damn you, spies and theives!). You don't want to jump straight into a war. Unless you DO want to jump straight into a war, in which case you might consider Faction Warfare. Its jolly good fun, but expensive.
Good luck!

Join my corp if you absolutely love tons of political trashtalk, the encouragement of racism, vulgarity, and sexual harrassment. All mandatory.

Avoid corps that spam the recruitment channel, you are better off talking 'normal' in that channel, you'll meet far more interesting people.
It's one of my favorite drunk-eve activities.
