I've checked with every station in the region and every slot is booked/filled for copying with waiting periods of 2-4 weeks!
This has got to be some kind of mad joke?
How is a person suppose to get the job done with waiting times like that?
Given that things are as bad as they are...why not make BPC's available in the market alongside BPO's?
Now that I can't make a copy...where can I buy some? (kinda makes a mockery of the copy tab really - when you have little to no chance of ever getting in)
Manufacturing and Inventing slots are not an issue....having said that...you need a BPC in order to invent! So there goes invention as well.
Surely there's 1000's of people out there in exactly the same boat as me?
Or have I simply missed something (apparently) obvious?

Not to be too harsh on you but grab a ticket and get in the line  or utilise some of the other options such as your own pos, low sec or 0.0 to get your ME and copies done |

I had the same thing when I started playing the game.
Your best bet is buying BPC's off contracts.
If you have the time\effort\resources setup a pos and copy bp's yourself, you can even rent it out to others.
maybe even look into the ZZZ alliance. |

Exactly.
First of all, why do you think npc slots are booked up to 4 weeks ahead? Because other players are there to patiently stand in line waiting for they turn to make a copy. What makes you so special as to ask for it right now while others waits for a month?
Then, if you're so inclined to have an instant copy acces you're all welcome to move to 0.0 space where there's some copy lines free, OR to set up your own POS filled with your own labs. See how many possibilities there is?
Also, if you but need copies itself, not an ability to do copy on your own, go and buy all you need from contracts - I assure you there's a hells lot of BPC of all kinds for sale :) |

Thanks for the tips guys.
I was a little disscouraged to find such a massive shortfall in supply and demand of copy facilities.
There I was all excited about inventing my first major item...which firstly required a BPC, I had the original...then stall :(
1. I'll check out the ZZZ Alliance and
2. I'll start reading up on how to set up our own research labs

There are a few things you can do here.
You can queue it up and eat the time. This is not a great option, but it is cheap. Problem is of course you can't respond to the market.
Unfortunately, Alliance copying is still borked last I checked. This means Zzz is great for ME'ing BPOs (which have similar lines), but good luck copying.
You can do one of two things for faster turnaround. First is of course, set up a POS with some labs. This is what most people do, and the 0.65 time multiplier is very nice too.
If setting up your own POS is not an option (they're expensive in time and treasure to maintain), you can make use of someone else who is willing to copy for a fee. I do this, and I do it for pretty much arbitrary module BPOs (shameless plug). Shoot me a mail in game.

There are plenty of solutions, as have been mentioned in the above posts.
You are welcome to join one of my corps inside ZZZ and produce copies using one of my POSes. Copy slot fees are 15000 isk per hour and my labs are much faster than NPC slots. Drop me an eve-mail if you are interested and I'll have you up and running in no time. |
