Edited by: Ithnolin on 19/11/2008 03:02:19 I have a Amarr Empire faction standing of -6.45, how in the verse can I get that up high enough just so they wont shoot me. I already have Diplomacy to 2 so I think I can get 1.2 more by training that to 5 but that still won't even put me above -5. What is the threshold for the faction navy to shot you? And how can I fix this? Thanks

I have diplomacy at 4 and am now -5.5 or something to amarr empire, there was a thread before in the skills section about this, afaik you can go as low as -8.75 or something to amarr, if you have diplomacy 5, I'll try find that thread in a minute |

Try this link:
Derived Standings
Amarr is the top line - read along the top line to find any other faction that is positive and run missions for them to improve your derived standings.

Diplo is calculated using distance to +10. So, with Diplo IV, you'll get +2.632 Amarr standings. This will get you to the point where they don't shoot you.
Run Caldari, Ammatar or Khanid missions to raise Amarr standings. -------------------- Originally by: Crumplecorn
I prefer launching bathtubs of antimatter at my opponents over pointing an open DVD player at them, even if the bathtubs do miss a lot. So no.

So if I understand this table correctly, and I want to raise my standing with Caldari, then I should run missions for Jove Empire, Khanid, Mordu's Legion Command, Interbus and the Society. Do I have that right?
And per the lower table, if I run missions for Jove, I should get positive standing for both Caldari and Minmitar and a few others. Am I reading this correctly? |

Wish I'd thought to ask about the secondary factions at some point. Might not have gotten me so worried about my **** Amarr standing. Apparently I can still run missions with the Khanid folks with only Diplomacy 2. |

Right in theory. In practice, the Jove have no usable agents, and Interbus do not give out storyline missions so they'll never improve your standing with anybody, not even themselves. The others are viable options (so far as I know). |
