it would be neat if there was a learning skill called queue. for each level of this skill you can queue +1 skills, so lvl 5 queue would allow you to queue 5 skills. i wouldnĘt even mind if this was rank 4 to be honest because i would only keep 1 or 2 skills in queue.
ps. this is my first post so take it easy on me and my idea, no need to say how rotten or unfeasible/silly it is

Actually I think this is one of the better ideas of how to fairly incorporate the skill queue into the game without ****ing off the powergamers

at least if queing was a skill you could insure a couple skills at a time queued and not someone setting up their whole skill career and be offline for months then selling their account on ebay.
i would love to set up to queue at least 1 or 2 skills. i don't wait till a horrible time at night for the skill to finish so i could switch skills. also it could switch a skill while i'm at work so i don't have time wasted on not training.

This is the most important idea for the game, and is totally necesary for further improvement of Eve.
Either have a queue or let a skill continue to its end, and not stop when one level ends but continue automaticly to the next level, so that if you can¦t go online or are dealayed for one reason or another, you DONT LOOSE SKILLTRAINING TIME. If you are training to lvl5 it would stop but not on the lower levels. That would be, i think, a nice compromise between balanced gameplay and service to the players...

I've been thinking about a way to do this for a while, but it appears Emp and/or Deep beat me to it.
I really think that the queue of some sort is nessisarry, for the reasons provided by the other posters.

... If I had a dollar for every one of these threads...
Its a situation of "give them a foot and they'll want a yard." You can currently train skills while you sleep. Any other mmog requires you to be online and involved in a random monotonous task to advance.

Guess what im doing.. staying up late to start another training, so I don't waste time :D
I would support allowing at least one skill to be queued at a time.. I'm losing sleep becasue I don't want to waste time, as my money is greatly out running my ability to spend it because of lack of skills. I need to train skills .. sadly most are to make more money
and no you can't have any
Currently training: Original Sig / Rank 1 / SP: 198000 of 256000 |

I also hate to lose training time or delaying the completion of a skill due to its completion time, and although the queue skill sounds like a good idea, being able to queue up 5 skills is just too much. I fully back any idea that allows perhaps a second or at most third skill to train or to continue to train to the next level. This is essential for anyone going on vacation, a business trip, to school, sleep, etc. Everyone always says to just train a longer skill, but what if you don't need or want that skill any higher? It just wastes time to do this and not be able to train a skill that would have an immediate positive effect or allow you to do something new.
However, I also really like the ability to continue to train skills, manufacture items, and research bps while not logged on. I see no way for such long skill training times to be completed anyway else though. If we wanted EVE to be completely real in regards to skill training(Devs don't get any ideas), then whenever you wanted to train a skill you would have to stop whatever you were doing, go to a specific station, unless there was some kind of program that ran on your ship, and just learn the skill while doing nothing else. I don't see many people playing that game though and I've gotten way off topic, but I think the best idea would be to just continue training the current skill to the next level. This is a logical choice and the skill could still be changed the next time you logged on or when you receive the skill training complete evemail.

I support this.
CCP could you tell us what are your reasons for not doing this as it has been raised many times before with no official response ?
Surely this would go a long way to imrpoving customer satisfaction levels that are being eroded by the current stability issues.

if the queue skill was rank 12 no one would train past 3, anyone who would is nuts and deserves to queue 5 skills.
