These are just suggestions to consider and in no way am I an expert or nothing like that. Firstly, I find the color scheme too, shall I say, too monochrome. I feel like there needs to be more contrast. For example, use a different color for the background of the Eve Lounge News and Updates section. The spacing between lines in this section needs to be done better. Second, I think you need button rollovers. It can be just as simple as a color change when you roll over the button with the mouse. Perhaps, you can add a sound of some sort as well. You may want to consider changing the font used on the buttons, for some reason it's just bugging the crap out of me. Maybe it just looks like the words are running together or something, I don't know. I really don't think I would put a button named Navigation on there. It seems unneeded. Maybe a little more space between EVE-LOUNGE and YOUR PLACE TO HANG. Just a little bit. Maybe drop the border down a bit on YOUR PLACE TO HANG in order to match EVE-LOUNGE more. It just looks to dark to me. Maybe not kern it as much either in order to match EVE-LOUNGE more. That's all I have for now. Maybe some more folks will take a look and give some observations and then you can test them out to see what you think about it all. Take care End of line...

As for the feel of it, it needs to feel more like EVE and not just some random site. Look around at some of the other eve related websites for ideas. For example, this is a theme I did for someone: Linkage. An example at Ten Ton Hammer Also, I don't see a need for a second thread for this :P

I don't see you trying to make a Eve Fan site you just don't understand how much work it actually is Using INNER JOINS and SELECTING 4 to 5 different database's and then hoping your not getting 50 error's. Then we have to talk about API which can be a pain in the ass especially if you just got into the Scene of Eve Dev and if you read i just started the site about a week ago so how am I going to have a lot of content and Definitely not a good Graphic layout Why do that when it is still being worked on and its filled with error's why don't you turn that little add on off on fire fox. and stop ranting people it makes me sick to my stomach and one more note when you make a eve fan site and do half of what i did then come talk "Trash" until don't reply back to my post or topics if you don't have nothing nice to say. I do fear the agitator a few posts up (the one who made a point of stalking you :p) is right in the sense that very few informational sites make it. Advice would be to concentrate on some form of unique offering that will bind people to your site before advertising it widely. For some practical feedback - it looks a bit naked before registering (i didnt register yet, i make a point of not doing that everywhere, you'll need to make it worth my while, as in provide interesting content ) Also the boundary around the center area does not work properly using the IE render engine in ff (fine in ff itself). The title banner is blocked by my ad blocker utility. I will be making it later on in Ajax meaning Custom layouts like the Google home page you can move the tables around to your liking. Users will be able to upload screen shots, video's. it will have Pod cast's and Eve-Radio on it. I have a lot planned out and no it is not just a kill board or just a data dump, but it will have content. I will be in contact with other sites and try to get some interviews as well. I want to go to Fan fest 09 to get content related to eve and it will have market transactions including what minerals are in a system to how much they cost in a system or any other information you want to know what is going on in a system. and to the other person that wrote that crap THIS IS MY TOPIC SO..
