ok. i have desided to go with a harpy for pvp. will be a bit of solo (easy frig belt ganks) but mainly as part of a fleet.
i wanted to use rails as i like them but also have tank if some thing bad happens.
fit. LOW MFS ii DCU ii
MID pith b type shield booster cap booster ii 24k point invul
HIGH 4x 75mm rails ii /spike (rocket launcher if any thing gets close.
ok so i normaly orbit at 20k. so i am out of web range but in gun/point range.
i also have a set of low grade crystal implants.
any one have any ideas on how you would make this setup better for what i want to do with it.
(this is my alt. as i dont want to give away my fit to potencial war targets/ victims)

You cann still get the Pith Shield Booster in if you want, but you shouldn't need it. Orbiting at high speed in Closerange (750m Orbit) gives you excellent damage and helps avoiding BS Damage.
Btw those rigs are 8 m total.

You really really really really really need a speed mod. Since you have rails, preferably a MWD.
Make sure to patch your EM resist hole as well.

with the new patch i love the fact that my frig cant be hit by alot of larger guns.
so a MWD is way out of the question as i belive the sig radius to speed increase would not be worth it. although fitting my mids some thing like
AB ii pithi booster cap booster ii em hard
some thing like that would work for me i supose. i just wouldnt have any takle and may aswell just swap out to 150mm rails..

Fits with AWU IV, you can replace the nos with a rocket launcher for more dps but then it's not quite cap stable. 195dps, cap stable at 57%, 6,853 EHP
The OP setup; well yeah you need a speed mod as the others said. Any enemy with any kind of speed behind them would either run away or fly up close and blow you to bits

HIGHS: 4 x 125mm Railgun II 1 x Small Nos / Empty (if MWD fitted)
MEDS: 1 x 1mn AB / 1mn MWD <--(to taste, I'm running MWD atm) 1 x Warp Disruptor 1 x Small Shield Booster (Faction if you have the isk, I prefer cheap) 1 x Small Cap Booster II
LOWS: 1 x Magstab II 1 x Tracking Enhancer II
RIGS: 2 x Anti-Em Screen (If you have the cash)
MWD is pulsed to keep you at the range you want, not permarun for the whole fight. The sig boost doesn't hurt you badly IF you use it correctly. 130dps with faction AM and should blast 'ceptors apart whilst giving big ships something to think about. If you KNOW you're going against bigger ships and have dedicated tacklers, fit an AB + Scram to shut their MWD down while using the NOS to give some protection from neuts.
Whilst you can tank heavy missiles to a certain extent, be aware that they ARE better for pvp in general than they were before and will eventually kill you if you don't take the ship out quickly enough. They're actually a bigger pain than guns half the time.
Being webbed isn't the end of the world, so better to drop the Spike and go with AM since your dps is inconsequential otherwise. You may as well be flying a Kestrel if you want to snipe with Spike fitted 75's.
