What do you think about my Caldari controll tower(large) fitting: (i have enough cpu and powergrid to run everything at the same time)
1x Mobile laboratory 1x Avanced mobile laboratory
1x Refining array
1x Ammunition assembly array 1x Drone assembly array 2x Efficient equipment assembly array 1x Large ship assembly array
4x Warp disruption battery 4x Statis webification battery
8x Cruise missile battery 4x Torpedo battery
2x Moon harvesting array 2x Coupling array 2x Silo
1x Corporate hangar array
1x Ship maintenance array
1x System scanning array
1x Stealth emitter array
Well these are only my plans for a pos and my calculations say that i will be spending around 170mil for full fuel bay wich lasts about 19 days wich means about 270mil for 30 days and i have to refill bay twice a month. I want to run a pos that will provide some facilities to my indys and a good place to hide for my pvpers and a gathering point able to defend itself and to jamm those who come near it. I know its nothing special thats why im asking your opinion about it. Also it would be nice if u could give me a suggestion on wich missile types to use generaly. Thx for your replies in advance

If this is a lowsec pos, itll go down quick with the lack of defenses. You need to get a heck of a lot more to defend that pos. Also, some of those assembly arrays use more minerals then a station, you may want to consider getting rid of the arrays that use more material and using a station to build. That will also free up cpu / pg for defenses. --- Ishikari Industries

-1x Stealth emitter array doesnt exist
-1x System scanning array needs sov. that you wont have in lowsec
-1x Refining array they suck, horribly, the worst station is far superior, use a scout and a hauler, just keep the stuff in the corp hangar
labs are fine, the assembly arrays, if you really cant find a station with open manu. slots, (??) are ok i guess. theyre not material eff. but they run faster, so meh, thats up to you.
ditch the launchers, i know you get a bonus on the tower, they still wont stop anyone at all in anything, post patch id be rather comfortable in an ishtar in front of them.
get a minmatar or amarr tower so you have a chance of defending it,
and double check when you scope out that moon that the mins the miners pull will cover the fueling expenses of said miners, you might save money not mining it, all the good stuffs been pretty much locked up sadly.

You could set that up in high sec and then have your corp mates try and attack it to see where the holes are in it.
But yea Caldari towers are more for high sec, with things like labs and stuff.
If you are going low sec use Amarr or Minmatar or Gal.
Also if you are setting up in low sec I won't use faction towers because you might have to cut and run.

Hm, i dont think that it makes a difference if you put up a Caldari or some other tower in lowsec.
If there is someone who wanna crush this tower he will. A large tower will take a long time to kill so they will come prepared for that.
All under the assumption that the ops corp isnt a big capital force :). Maybe you can try to bring some medium railguns online.

What it seems to me, is that your tower is trying to do too much. You've got R&D, Manufacturing, Refining, Moon Mining, and Ship Storage there. When ships do that, the setups get posted in C&P for everyone to laugh at. A POS has a bit more leeway, but still, think about what you actually need.
First of all, if you're doing mobile labs, you WANT to be in a station system, that way you can keep valuable BPOs safe in station. Otherwise, any BP you're working on is at risk should the POS be attacked.
The refining array is junk except for refining ice. Drop it.
The Assembly arrays have their purpose, though I do wonder if it might be easier to ship some of that in from elsewhere.
Moon reactions are not to be entered into lightly. Most of what you'll find is pretty low quality, not worth burning 2000 CPU on two harvesters and silos. If you do decide to mine, the coupling arrays are unnecessary.
As for your firepower, that tower will do a whopping 440 DPS. There are T1 Cruiser fits that can tank that, indefinitely. You need more firepower, or you may as well not bother with them. Though anyone who stumbles upon this tower won't be going anywhere fast if he stick around long enough to get webbed. . . Those defenses would suffice in high sec, but not in low/0.0. I suggest rail/arty batteries, or you could consider a different tower type, which will give you a lot more PG to play with (thus more room for guns).
In short, pick what you want the tower to do, and don't try to make the tower do everything. -------------------- Originally by: Crumplecorn

i was thinking this pos to be heavily guarded and its defense just some support to defenders and wanted it to be able to make a ship, its ammo, its modules, its drones and have it running without the need of a station. thanks for help now i realize that its not good.
