This is something that doesnGÇÖt need to be discussed; it should just be this way...
We should be able to see fleet members even if they are cloaked!

Actually, you can't see fleet members when they're cloaked.
I've seen some funny accidents happen due to this. with 50 SBs camping somewhere around a gate, all within pew pew range, a couple of rapiers on the gate itself.. you're all alone, though you now your friends are out there, then POOF suddenly you see 1 or 2 appear on grid. when it's 2, it means two of them accidently flew too close to eachother, if it's one, it or you flew too close and you and him are decloaked so others will be seeing 2 uncloaked SBs.
Funny to see happen, but not something you want to see happening. Still it can happen, because you don't know where your friends are.

lol you misunderstand. ThatGÇÖs exactly the situation i want to avoid.
A fleet of stealth bombers should be able to see each other when cloaked so they donGÇÖt bump into each other.

The way the cloak mechanic works, your client never even receieves the data about a cloaked ship. This in-part to prevent cheating, because people can hack the client to show cloaked ships. This change would risk breaking that.

^^^ this. The only thing that needs to be fixed is when Your warping everyone should get there own bubble so no decloaking will happen in warp. It really really sucks when you get stuck in warp with a Target your trying to kill and it decloaks you. |

Please support you claim because that doesn't make much sense.
You can make a bookmark while you are cloaked, so i would think that the game know where you are... If this is not the case and the game doesn't keep track of your coordinates, when you are in a fleet cloaked, the bookmark programming could automatically relay your position to fleet members and display it on overview for them.
You are basically saying that rule breakers could abuse the system and therefore the game shouldn't improve/change... I think that's silly. |

Fleet members are transmitting shield/armor/hull data over the network anyway, thus being in a fleet could show just an empty bracket at the location being transmitted across the fleet.
And afaik inside fleets the position is alreaday sent over network: you can warpto a cloaked ship right (not sure about approach on the fleet member right click list?)

Nobody does that... It's more to do with when you are in a large stealth fleet, people are unable to move for fear of de-cloaking a fleet member. This isn't ideal and the game could be better if it was changed IMO.
Oh noes, cloaking with a large fleet has a disadvantage that can be easily over come with some logistical planning.
From a game design point of view, cloaking already gives you a huge advantage over your enemy because they can't see you. Not to mention the very idea of a 'covert ops' fleet is that it isn't suppose to grow above a certain size, otherwise why use standard ships, ever.
If you want a large fleet of cloaky ships, coordinate them so they don't but into each other or use them in a way this doesn't become an issue. Not to mention, being able to see other ships, if the issue isn't really when your ship are moving but mainly when you are warping, wouldn't solve the problem because you would still bump into them. |

Dude what are you talking about? Are you generally ignorant or are you just looking for an argument?
I'm not interested in how you think the game "should be" i'm interested in this game evolving.
If you have any intelligent arguments to make please do so as i scenery want to hear constructive criticism and not these lame excuses.
