First off, let me say that I enjoy that scamming is a possibility in EVE. I've scammed over two billion isk myself.
But having trade hub local clogged up with morons offering "faction ships" for low prices through the trade window when all they're doing is renaming a base hull is stupid.
I've never been hit by this scam because, having played EVE for several years, I know to avoid it. The problem is that the three-month old newbie doesn't, and is at risk for getting taken because he assumes that when the trade window shows a 'Raven Navy Issue' it actually is one.
I'm not against scamming. I just think that doing so should require half a brain. |

I do not scam myself nor am I against it, but in my last visit to jita last week someone was spamming local with the text that all contracts are scams and that no-one should accept them and that he and his corp will make scamming illegal blablabla...
but people should accept that scamming in eve is legal and that they ALWAYS should check what they're getting, be it from market or contract. check, double-check.
PS: a friend of mine recently got a 300m badger in geminate
Cheers, Faros

When I'm bored, I open windows with the people spamming the "first person to open a trade at x price..." and then put in an isk amount below the value of the ship they are actually putting in the window, sadly all of them have checked the decimal places... ç¦ |
