Just bear with my "uninformedness". This is an auction so char is sold to highest bidder i.e a higher bid overrides buyout?
Don't mean to be an ass, just asking - since my buyout may be too low?

ok just to clear things up..say you have an auction on ebay and the starting bid is 3 billion...the reserve is 4 billion and the buyout is 5 billion....if you place the buyout bid the auction is over......well anyways, i already purchased a char that was already to sell zxhone wasnt even in a noob corp when i bid!!!!...would have bought in a heartbeat if the owner had been paying attention to the auction and followed rules by placing char in noob corp before posting char up for sale ...anyways awesome char hope it sells

This isn't ebay. With RMT an issue, surprised you used that example.
The sale of character, barring scams, are not enforced by CCP and seems to always favor the seller over buyer. Where seller may or may not choose to sell their character even after agreeing to sale and receiving isk (as long as the person returns the isk).
