I get the blue screen o'death sometimes too. I'm pretty sure its the graphics card. I' have the same one you do. I've just bought a new card, so I'm going to do some testing. I'll post whether or not it helped in a few days if you like.

I agree, XP pro is pretty robust and if you're seeing BSODs it's more likely hardware than software. I started getting BSODs a couple of weeks ago (not while playing eve). It was a ram module that got dust-fried by the processor fan. I ditched the module and haven't had a problem since.
ps, don't know who i was agreeing with there, but another issue to check is IDE cables - if you're regularly in the box upgrading or tweaking you can damage the cables, though you won't be able to see any damage. This will give you errors, up to and including the BSOD, especially if it's a cable connecting to the drive with the pagefile.

The only thing that ever caused BSODs for me in XP was manually putting virtual memory on a dedicated drive, something I got into the habit of years ago when drives were slower. I still kept on doing it figuring it would help fragmentation and so on. XP REALLY didn't like it and threw a BSOD when it had to swap out. As soon as I reverted to letting XP do its own thing, no more BSODs. XP REALLY likes to lead you by the hand.....

Before you start ripping out hardware i would suggest you to check your drivers..
Not only for graphic card, tho that is the most likely one, but also for soundand other stuff.
If you can try to check if there is a newer BIOS version available...that one have helped me many times..

Ulf, I have the pagefile on it's own partition in a separate drive (also a habit from the old days), but I let the system manage the size. It seems quite happy.
ps, anyone who doesn't try upgrading the drivers before posting here deserves a slap.

I too get BSOD's, only in Eve, and only in the last week or so (3 now) - each time the error is the same, quoting the nv_4 display driver subset - I've not changed drivers since way before I instaleld Eve (the are the mosr recent 43.45 sets I think - and have been stable in EVERYTHING INCLUDING Eve up until now. )
And no other games or windows usage gives me problems - I;m at a loss to figure out if its Eve or my PC...........
