Was just on the help channel there and a spirited discussion was ongoing about someone useing an alt to pod himself whenever his bounty got too high . Would this be a valid tactic to you ? I believe he does it to lower his "visibility" to bounty hunters .

it doesnt lower visibilty to bounty hunters because 9 times out of 10 you wont catch them anyway. its a good way of earning isk people have kindly placed on your head

happens loads i reacon
every now again, some alt will pos asking for you to add to their bounty to make them look hard or some lame **** like that.
It's all a scam... you load up their bounty and they do themselves and collect the bounty

If you have a bounty placed on you "its listed by whom"
That would show up people "placing bounties on there own heads"

There is no easy way to fix "the bounty and bounty hunter" problem. You must remember however that many of the highly wanted people in EVE are highly wanted because they are in very powerful positions of enemy corporations etc... To get into these positions usually people have to be playing the game for quite a while at least. Players who play the game for that long have a high chance of having cybernetic implants installed in their brains. The bounty would have to be incredibly high to risk losing these don't you think? Mind you i saw a character on EVE recently with 180 000 000 isk on his head. Either someone was really ****ed off or that guys alt has nothing better to do with his money. Well for those of you who don't have much to do with their money you can always send it to me. Also i would like to add that the "Curse" and "Stain" alliances dominate too much of tha valuable ore. No wonder people have so much money to spare when in their positions.

and "Free me of my terrible burden"(My 16mill bounty) they offer to pod me in exchange of 50% of my bounty...
Stupid Scammer Nubs.
TBH The higher my bounty gets, it just makes more people try to kill me. which is cool, i get to fight people. Which is why im here..... Eventually someone will pod me and claim my bounty. Some day

Just make it so characters on a players account don't get the bounty for killing other characters on the same account. I don't know is this would be very difficult to implement or a good solution but it's at least it's something.

Just make it so characters on a players account don't get the bounty for killing other characters on the same account. I don't know is this would be very difficult to implement or a good solution but it's at least it's something.

come again.............so you'd have to log off and quickly log on with an alt aquire target lock and scamble within a few seconds then kill you main before it disappears........I'm not sure but I'd say that would be imposible
