Yeah i now lot of griefing will follow now but still going to ask.
Is it possible to make also a single player game of Eve. Same space, station,NPC`s,missions, low sec,etc etc all the same only in single player. So when you enter low sec you get attacked by NPC gangs/fleets. Or if you enter gallente,caldari..... space you can get attacked by NPC pirates,Concorde etc etc. Just everything is the same but than al real players are just NPC. Just like Q&Q but than in space. Actually im suprised CCP didnt come with that option already because they can make RL billions of cash with it.
Start the flaming and griefing.

Err... I don't know... EVE without other players? That's an awful thought. You will have no market as noone will buy and sell anything... EVE lives from the players.
The only thing CCP might want to think about is maybe something like a Mod for HalfLife 2. An ego shooter where you see all the cool stuff that you run across in EVE... --- "Multiple exclamation marks are a sure sign for a diseased mind." -Terry Pratchett |

Maybe a console version, where you play as a non-pod ship captain for a faction, following a storyline. something like the book, only in game form. Make it semi-sandbox, but with only a few systems (20 or 30) from hi to nosec...
That i would buy

That would be interesting, have a handful of ships, mods and whatnot. Kind of a EVE GTA, so to speak. That has potential, actually. I like the thought of a console EVE Game!

What about a space/ground RTS based in the EVE universe? *imagines having dreads in orbit and bombarding the enemy, muhaha*

I seriously doubt this... try to understand the following Thesis: Why should CCP shove away paying costumers (meaning those who subscripe Eve Online) in offering them a SIngleplayergame that features allof eve without the other Players for the Prize of a Singleplayergame? Currently a normal Game in the Shop goes around 50 EUro so the fee for Eve Online ist paid up after 3 and a half month... its simply doubt any Decent Company would give People who loan about 15 Euro a month a way to play this game in a way that costs only three times the monthly fee and leves him out of my grip^^

Freespace actually does this quite well... complete with security status & NPC camps/attacks.

You can play EVE solo right now as it is. You can just treat other players as advanced AI NPCs and deal with it. Although I could see a rationale for a single-player version perhaps.
