Edited by: Ankos on 29/11/2008 18:04:05 Hey guys.
I came back to the game after a long time out, and I paid the wrong acc by mistake, the first acc I made which doesn't have my main.
I did this like 1 hour ago, is there any chance to get my money back or redirect the payment to my main account?
I know it's my fault, but still, if there's a slim chance of CCP fixing this mess, would be great to know.
Thanks in advance.

CCP is very good at working with customers. Petition it and they might apply the payment to the other account. They have always been really accomadating with me.

That's good to know. How should I petition it? In-game system or directly mailing the customer service? In that case, where should I mail?

Yes CCP has done this before to people having the same problem. Petiotion it and get GM support.

My ex-wife used to do that. As long as you don't login to the wrong account, they can fix it very quickly. :) -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- PROPOSAL: Good Bug Reporting Incentives MMORPG: Many Men Online Role Playing Girls |

Edited by: Ticondrius on 29/11/2008 20:04:00 It all depends on the situation and your own attitude. For example:
"I feel rather silly right now, I applied my GTC to the wrong account! Can I have the GTC removed from the account ****** and instead applied to ******? I haven't logged in at all. I really hope this can be fixed! =\"
The opening statement from the last time my ex-wife did that. CCP responded the next morning (EVE Time) and promptly swapped the GTC from the wrong account to the right one.
Just be honest and open in your petition, avoid being demanding, and try to provide all relevant information.
Once upon a time I even got my own account banned because some lamer had somehow stolen my password (I suspected a cookie grabber) and used my account to launder ISK for sale. A few days of reasonable and unheated conversation with a GM through the petition system not only got my account unbanned, but all ISK and items missing restored. How? I was able to provide them with the EXACT time I'd last logged in and from what IP. From there it was simple to figure out what my account had been used to do since. They even tacked on a week of free game time to cover the time it took to restore the account. Now that was epic
I've had other rather seemingly crazy petitions get resolved too. I once lost a Deimos for being silly and using a smartbomb in highsec in a complex. Apparently the bombs had hit someone's abandoned drone, causing concord to give me a good dose of concordokken. Explaining the situation calmly and clearly got me the Deimos back in exchange for the insurance ISK. Another ship reimburse that was somewhat odd was when auto-locking back would trigger the aggression timer and make it impossible to jump. I lost a cruiser with minerals aboard that I was using as a blockade runner. CCP first claimed there was nothing wrong, but later reversed the decision. I petitioned the ship loss then, and got it back, along with the 250m worth of minerals that had been destroyed.
So just don't petition stupidly, and things generally work out well. Remember, the people on the other end AREN'T really responsible for the bugs (The devs are) or your silliness (obviously you are) and are there to try to help you when things go wrong. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- PROPOSAL: Good Bug Reporting Incentives MMORPG: Many Men Online Role Playing Girls |

Thank you guys again.
I did it in a good mood, of course. Problem is, I have already logged in. In fact, it was on login when I discovered it was the wrong account. Otherwise I wouldn't have been able to make a difference :).
Also, I needed to log in somewhere to file the petition.
I hope it doesn't matter that much: The logs would be able to show them I didn't do any action in game.

You could have seen your characters and filed the petition on the website here. :) I imagine if you keep your cool the GM will take care of you all the same. :) -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- PROPOSAL: Good Bug Reporting Incentives MMORPG: Many Men Online Role Playing Girls |

surely with the ghost training removed it will be less of an issue that he logged in to the incorrect account?

For the reading impaired, this means/includes: Don't petition every ship loss, just the ones lost in equivalent situations.

For anyone who was following this thread, I'm sitting next to my friend who had this problem (Ankos), and he's not only going to have his game time transfer, but he'll get 40 days instead of 30 (because the account he paid is trial where the one he was going to pay is not, so he spent extra money)
Long live CCP GMs. Seriously, kudos for having the best customer service ever.
