The new market warning box since the last patch definitely need adjusting as shown here. I was purchasing an item which was appox 7k more than the market average and got a warning.
Currently it will display on pretty much every purchase you make outside of the core highway. It also makes selling items placed intelligently to make larger profit much harder.
I can understand the need to have such a warning box (although i don't agree with it) but surely it should only display if your purchase price is 50% higher than the market average.

Honestly, I don't think it will lower your sales because if you are in a station most of the time you will pay a premium to have the item right there as long as the price hike is reasonable. I often overpay for hybrid charges if I need a certain type right at that moment, even though I could produce my own for about 1/2 the cost counting mineral prices or by jumping 7 jumps away to buy them.

My main concern is not about the loss of profit, its the fact that the warning pops up even if your buying something which is 1 isk higher than the market average. The whole point of this was to protect the careless people who buy shuttles for 10mil. Having an popup warning that displays at nearly every purchase you make, becomes a bit arbitary and in the end wont protect the people it was put there for.
Only displaying the warning if your buying something which is 50-100% higher than the market average will give the pop-up some meaning.

Aye and the biggest problem is that people become too used to seeing it whenever they buy something and just hit the 'ok' button without reading it.

That's the players responsibility. If they don't read it, that's their fault. Of course, the same thing goes for those who bought 10 million isk shuttles.
I still buy things if they are resonably over the warned price. And resonable is relative. "Average" means that you can find them lower in someplaces and higher in others. The mere conviencie of not having to travel 13 gates often makes the extra expense worth it. In these cases, resonable could mean 2, 3, 4, or more times the current average.
It is not making intelligently placed items harder to sell, it's making price gouging alot harder.
However, an option to turn these warnings off would be nice. I am quite capable of using advanced market info to make an informed decision.

The original point of the post was that the range needs to be increased, and I completely agree. It is ridiculous when I get a warning saying I am buying something for 0.03 isk above average. ------------------------------------------------
