Is there some sort of problem with support? I have submitted two petitions over the last 48 hours and neither has been answered. Is anyone else having the same problem?

Yeah, all the others in the queue. you are not the only one reporting issues, so there's a lot to deal with and that all takes time. 48h is not fun, but it's not the worst either...

What kind of petitions are we speaking about? If we are speaking reimbursement petitions, they can take days, sometimes a week. And it does not help making a new peition either, since your petition will be placed at the bottom of the list again. There can only be one petition active.
Or are we speaking Stuck petitions? Those are usually handled within minutes. I doubt its one of these you are thinking of?
Are we speaking account or money petitions? I think those takes 1-2 days to solve. Not sure.
In general, you have to be patient! Particularily with Reimbursements. For some reason, people are petitioning all their losses.

I put in a petition for POS problems, its been 5 days now. But I hear it can take ........well over a month to get a responce which is yea its working fine 
But for reporting macro accounts they just jump right on it.

We just had a patch with a lot of issues. Assume a massive queue.

Petitions are not always fruitful (cuz, you know, 'according to our logs...') but one thing I will say for CCP is that they do respond. Even if it is to simply say 'You didn't win this time. Try Again'.
