If you are playing eve on an Imac 24in 3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GS and suddenly after last Saturday's patch EVE 1.0.2 is not working read this link and try the fix Casqade made. I am posting this because I think it's going to be a common problem that a lot of people face and I don't see a clear cut topic for people to easily find. For me I used this link to download a revert patch for the cider client. Eve now works correctly again but every time I start it up it says there is an update available. If you download that patch it will break the eve client for mac again.

Same config, same issue, same 'fix'. Also - do you experience weird transparency effects like planes of random graphics/images that should be transparent? I've had these on this machine since prior to Quantum Rise. By tweaking the z-buffer option (randomly toggling them) i can sometimes get the display to be correct.
Weird, and I sure wish I didn't feel like a 2nd class citizen as far as client goes.

Only graphic issues I have are when I run multiple clients. Missions with lots of clouds & dust becomes large squares. Gates glowing graphics & shields on ships I can see text in etc...
Willing to live with those problems if I have to.

Yep I too have the same configuration and had the same problem and that did help. Hope to see a bugfix for that in the next update though.

I didn't see anywhere in the notes on the 1.0.3 update if it fixes this issue for the 24in Imac. Does anyone know?
I guess I will keep rejecting the updates until this client stops working, then run the update and see if eve still works on this make/model of Imac.

I just updated to 1.0.3 and now it's not working. I click the Eve icon, it's starts in the dock and I got the menu line at the top, but no Eve gaming window.
