hi - so I'm notoriously bad at math (I was an English major and my wife just loves to tease me about my total lack of math ability) and i'm really kind of struggling to put together a good spreadsheet that tracks my costs of research through production. i keep starting endless new workbooks and trying to find a way to balance all this but keep getting wildly lost.
does anyone have either a blank spreadsheet that they could share so i can try and track this better, or at least offer some advice?
yes, i suck at math, yes, i need to Learn2Spreadsheet... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Shammalamma Dingdong |

If the first reply does't help, could you be a bit more detailed about the specific information you want from the spread sheet? Change in profit of the BPO different ME levels? something else? should it include opportunity cost? ç¦ |

ok, so what i'm trying to do is -
1. keep track of my invention costs - dc's used, # of runs, % success from the runs & breakdown of total cost 2. keep track of my production costs 3. work out how much each job costs me in terms of both materials, and the invention costs
the idea is that when i'm done, i can plug in the values to the spreadsheet and say "this batch of invention cost me A, to produce it cost me B, so my bottom line/profit (after sales) was X"
I'm really not an idiot (I swear!) i just feel like i have the longest piece of masking tape in the world and whenever i try and unravel it, i get so wrapped up in it nothing moves!
thanks again for the replies, and any further help anyone might be able to offer :)

Edited by: Kazuo Ishiguro on 01/12/2008 18:39:37 If you do any respectable number of invention jobs, your profits/losses will eventually converge to their expected values, as determined by the invention formula.
As such, your best bet is to use Burchov's invention calculator, find something worth producing, and then go for broke. I've never felt the need to make detailed records of invention results. --- Can't afford that BPO? Look here. 20:1 mineral compression The EVE f@h team |
