I was pondering....what would be the skill req. for tech 3 mods and hulls.
Tech 2 already loads you up with enough lv 5 skills, how will tech 3 top it?

Well, if the existing skills doesnt cut it when it comes to upping the requirements, im sure they'll come up with a few new ones for us to train :D

T3 does not neccesary means it will be better then T2. just different. And lo it will be, since we are speaking about ship modification parts.
As such, it does not mean it will have higher requirements then T2. Most likely it will have the same skill requirement, or new skill requirements. Most likely you will need some new skills to be able to apply these nifty mods to your ships

Ship modification, if in the current arc of things, will come as a new skill under the same place where rigging is.
Might even require rigging skills if no new skills appear.

Maybe a New Charisma / Willpower skillset where the only thing keeping the ship together is the Force of the Pilots Personality? Like Han Solo trying to keep the Millenium Falcon Together just by asking it nicely to "Hold Together"?
Seriously though, I would like to see T3 be based off the Jury Rigging Skillset given that it's effectively a larger scale version of Rigging where you're trying to make Technology you don't really understand work in conjunction with current modules.

I seem to recall ages ago there was talk of T3 being based on ancient tech. (Yan Jung etc) so maybe a mix of those and rigging would make sense?

T2 does not necessarily mean it will be better than T1. Just Different. And lo it is.
Look at a T2 MWD vs Best Named now that they've been nerfed...  ------------
