They have the story, they have the technology to make a kewl sci-fi. No actors needed. Just script some more like in the trailers(Using ingame- graphics) that already exist. Would be awesome. Obscene amounts of work, patience and good skill. (He took CHUNK out of our ship! And we need him back... HEY YOU GUYS!) Unfortunately Clear Skies wins because it doesn't follow EVEs "that'll do" attitude to backstory. It ignores it and puts 3 characters on the bridge of an actual battleship. It would be incredibly boring if it was just a video of a wired up egg chatting in local. Watching ships fly around shooting at each other is incredibly boring in EVE, because they just fly around, and the guns just pew in the right direction. No dogfighting, no action.. no "FOX GET THIS GUY OFF ME". (Probably a good thing). If they really went to town and incorporated WIS into it, it might be alright. But still... Nothing... and i mean NOTHING has beaten Clear Skies yet. Considering over half of that was done in Garrys Mod, that probably suggests why it kicked so much ass. That and shallow overtones of Firefly.

Actually if you would have ever read the backstory even a little bit not to mention the Empyrean Age novel you would now that is not the case really. You would know that the pod pilots are only the elite pilots in the universe able to control all their ship systems alone. Though even our elite podpilots ships probably still have a maintenance crew. All other ships like rats and all NPC ships are piloted by normal crew. They fly same ships but need more people to do it. You can fit a pod in any ship put it needs specially trained man (a podpilot) to use. Thats why all the ships have windows for example. I think a normal Amarr Navy Abaddon probably has a crew of about 3000 people. I would appreciate if people would read the backstory before making ****y comments of it. :) And yeah, I actually think you can make a good dog fight video of EVE, just use fighter drones. Actually i planned something like this before, you can make EVE interesting to watch if you know how to pull it off, keep fleet battle short and sweet keep the story telling to its bare form, with lots of action. and plenty of variety. -------------------------------------------
