On 11.29 my account was hacked. How I don't know. My character is years old and I've been playing EVE since beta. No one has my password. My password was very long. I'm not a newb but obviously something must have gone wrong. I've completely wiped the drive and re-installed windows.
On to the point. I submitted a petition on my account being hacked, all my ISK being transferred out to another player (and the players name via the ingame log files)and the repeated multiple poddings and resultant implant and skillpoint losses that occurred.
Its been over a week and I've heard NOTHING back. Not a "Too bad we are sorry" not a "We'll look into it" Nothing. I've been patient, I'm not a petition abuser. I think I've submitted a total of two petitions over the last 4 years.
I've about had it though. This is unacceptable. I'm at a loss as to what to do besides file another petition (which probably wont speed anything up) or talk about it here.
I understand some petitions take priority over others, but come on, the **** of my character has to be up there somewhere?

Mate,
They never answer petitions unless you file a stuck char petiton.
I have had my petiton up for 24 hours and no response. I have also had a petition go for as long as 3 weeks with no answer...
Welcome to CCP and Eve online.

This also occurred with me last night. I don't engage in "risky behavior" with this system and like yours, my password is not something easily figured out. So while it's certainly possible, it's unlikely that it was something easy to pull off. Hopefully action will be taken in your case and in mine. Here's to wishful thinking. |

The sad part of this whole thing is I use linux exclusively for everything except EvE and Photoshop. I use windows for eve because the premium graphics work better in windows than they do in wine still.
The point is I don't have a email program installed for windows, and the only web browsing I do is with firefox and typically only to EvE and photo sites.
Its just very weird.

Did you send in the petition via email? Could it be that the answer has been sent, but the mail ended up in the junk inbox or something like it?

Edited by: sliver 0xD on 11/12/2008 14:33:12 my advice is be verry rude and open a new stuck petition.
the gm will point you to the fact that you already opend a petition but do tell him that this is not giveing results and has taken to long.
if the gm still doesnt effort into the case then open a second stuck petition and deliver your case to another gm. use your alts and do this untill the mather is solved.
GM's can tell you that you are breaking the rules and this is not acceptable. a ban threath might occur. but they will think about the reason and take into account the rudeness of the first GM that doesnt leave a reply at all.
GM will probably help u beter ones they see that they did not reply to your petition at all.
ban aint that bad. your account is worthless anyway. dont think u are haveing fun back in an ibis.
At one point i think this is partly your own fault. u probably had a virus. But knowing some hacking myself i would expect that ccp cant do anything to make it 100% safe for anyone.
