A well argued point by Moo as usual.
Perhaps some reasons why you are against such a useful feature would help.

Originally by: allmus mangold, what about those of us with other things to do, like working! , going to college, only having limited computer time. your saying we should have as much rights as a person who is on the game 24-7, however both them and us pay exactly the same ammount of money to ccp, and it's not like some of us can choose to play more, I for one play as much as i can now that i'm working, but still that limits me to only 5 or 6 hr's aday after 8 hr shift and 4 hr's traveling there and back to my home. ccp, queue system please
p.s the reason i can post like this is that my work P.C has webpage access, but i'm not allowed to download and install ANYTHING!! queue system or webpage access is what is needed!
u pay the same money but that doesnt mean u gotta get the same sp for less work what would u say if u'd actually have to do something to gain skills? -----

No way. EVE allows you to train offline.. with queueing.. why even play the game?
If you don't have the time to log on and change your skills (which takes like 30 seconds) then you shouldn't be worrying about video games at all. There's no level grind.. only time, which you can do offline.
Stop whining. If I were an EVE developer I would be incredulous that you ask for queueing when they've already given you offline training.
Big ol' babies, I say. Playing all the time should have a reward.. it's more skills than you. Love,

Sorry I riled you so much bro. As it happens I have a life, a job and many other things to do outside of Eve. Occasionally *gasp* I even miss a few hours/days skill training.
And you know what, I still enjoy the game plenty much and don't really care whether I **** you or any of your powerplay friends off.
I pay CCP for a game which i enjoy playing within the bounds that they have created. Have you ever tried going to any other consumer software company and saying the same thing. I think you'd get handed your coat as they laughed you out of the office.
So, in short, stfu and deal with the game as it is

Either you log in and play otherwise don't bother.
As far as I know Eve is the only game that allows you to train your skills offline. That's enough.
I'm with Mangold.
Continueing training to the next lvl would be a better idea IMHO. ~{When evil and strange get together anything is possible}~ A tool is only useless when you don't know how to use it. - ActiveX The grass is always greener on the other side. - JoCool |

Edited by: bluechimera on 14/07/2004 15:59:43 I think this would be an exellent feature...It would really add to the game. It's got my vote ;)
PS: I do, however, dont think that you should just be able to drag all ur skills that u want trained into the queue. There should be a Leaning Queue skill or somthing with a +1 bonus to the ammount of skills u can have in queue per lvl (you would start with the abbility to have 1 skill in queue...so the skill would add to it).

I like the idea of queueing skills, but put a limit say cant queue more than 24h's of skills this way you can add lots of 1-4 hr skills or have two 12hr skills and not have to log and flip them.
I do hate the idea of a new skill we have too many as it is. But if you do have one maybe it could be used to extend the queue to say a max of 2-3 days max.

I've seen this argument a number of times, and I think it's false. By payign for the game, you are accepting it as is. If you don't like it then you can go and play ever***** or something like that
"accepting as it is ?" <rant mode II> You mean the bugs, the server crashes, loss of ships, getting stuck in a station when simply undocking, downtimes right when we all wanna play (Sunday), nerfing projectiles---
I guess I am not really alone with NOT ACCEPPTING as it is - either way round. What you propose is really just EAT what they shove you. I pity you if you mean that seriously
Lotsa life here too- Very little sleep due to EVE, but working my 8-10 hours shift a day, stayin long on friday, getting out in the world out there even--dont tell me YOU got a life and know it all man.. </rant mode II>
GO and help CHANGE this great game for the better with us and not just sit and eat all sh!te people, politicians, companies, and softwarehouses feed you

Once and for all - until someone, anyone, can actually come up with a reason why having a skill queue would actually be harmful, the naysayers should just take a chill pill. Skil queueing is NOT harmful to anyone. It's a beneficial item that would be equally helpful to everyone, a totally fair enhancement to teh game. If you can't agree on something that fundamentally positive, that's amazing.

Some ppl DO need to take vacations where there are no puters with EVE on them. Also some ppl have RL intervening with their eve sessions.

Vacation = Level 5 Skill....umm 23 days later my PE would be done...
Vacations really are not any excuse when Skills can take up to and longer than a month....
The only thing, I read in here is Skill Que'ing up to Level 3 wouldn't be to bad...Yeah, they can be a pain the butt...run a Level Two when you goto bed....and it doesn't complete prior to work/school...then either stop it and start something else...or eat the time...
Do this? Right before I goto bed...I start a Leve 4 or 5 Skill...or Hight Multiplier 3....then I don't have to worry about loosing time while at work....And if I really want a Level Three in a skill...well, I just stop it prior going to work....start something that will better use of my time...and when i come home restart it...still less time now..since thru the night it was running..vice starting from scratch....
All kinds aways to SKILL up effectively....I have found I just bring my Laptop to work..Log in really quick...and pick my next skill the best...

I been playing EVE for 3 days and I say no to queueing. Being able to gain skill in a game you aren't even sitting in front of you computer is a god send to those of us who have played other tedious MMORPGS.
BTW....gaining skill in any other mmorpg while you arent playing is called unattended macro and it get you banned....so... /whine off and train whenever you can.
