Hey all.
I know people prefer the Domi over the Mega for missions -- but I just love the way the Mega looks. So I am looking for recommendations on how to best setup the Mega for taking on level 4 missions.
Thanks in advance! |

Edited by: Comrade Metalone on 06/12/2008 02:05:05 I hear ya. The Megathron is a sexy machine, who wouldn't want to fly it?! The only problem with it is that it just can't live up to the level IV abilities that the dominix can. It's doable though. Make sure you have very high capacitor skills and battleships IV or V. This is what I use. 7x 350mm Railgun II (antimatter) 1x Heavy Nos
1x 100mn Afterburner II 3x Cap Recharger II
2x Magnetic Field Stabilizer II 1x Large Armor Repper II 2x Kinetic Hardener II 1x Thermic Hardener II 1x Capacitor Power Relay II
1x Capacitor Control Circuit 1x Nanobot Accelerator 1x Auxilary Nano Pump
This build boats 700 DPS and a 500 point tank (rat specific) in Eve Fitting Tool. Good enough for 95% of level IV's. For drones i use Ogre II's, which isn't very effective for the little frigates, so you'll want to bring 4 heavy drones and 5 lights and swap them out when you can. Or bring a friend who can take out the little buggers =P

I used a Navy Mega in EFT, and tried to push the prices as cheap as possible. Damn hard ship to fit with T2 with all that CPU shortage
7 x 425mm Railgun II
2 x Cap Recharger II 2 x Tracking Computer II
1 x Gallente Navy Large Armor Repair 3 x Specific Hardeners (must be the 16CPU faction variants) 1 x Amarr Navy Capacitor Power Relay 3 x Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
------------

Nothing that can't be solved by more Minmatar nerfs.

With the exception of Lodoss, thanks for the replies. Unfortunately a Navy Mega is not an option for me right now.
I can't believe it is that hard for a Mega to do lvl 4 missions. I know it must be brain-dead easy to do them in a Domi -- but I don't mind putting forth the effort in a Mega.
Someone must have some good builds for a standard Mega. Thanks again.
