i want to do some missions for my neighbors the gallente. i am looking for combat missions, ie..security etc.. can anyone point me to some level 1 agents that fit this? an 0.8 system would be fine considering my combat skills at the moment.
i have tried the agent finder offline and cant find anything.
in game the star map can find agents for me but i have no idea how to make the map show Gallente held territory or even if those agents are in fact in gallente :) also,there seems to be alot of low security sectors that have to be crossed in order to get to gallente from mimm.
yes, i am new, please be kind to my ignorance :)

Instead of getting you one fish (finding an agent for you), I'll teach you how to fish!
Go to http://www.eve-agents.com/ and use the options available to find whatever agent you want (you don't have to fill out all options, just the ones which are relevant to you).

First off, you don't have to fly to Gallente territory to run missions for a Gallente corp. You'll probably find some right there in Minmatar space.
Second, to help you narrow your search, get Ombey's 2D maps. This way you'll know what regions are in the area and can specify those regions near you when you're searching. Yeah, EVE is a big place and can be a bit overwhelming at first.
Third, don't limit yourself to just .8 or higher systems. You'll be fine in .5 or higher systems. If you have to drop into a lower system for an agent's mission, make sure the clone is up to date, the ship is ensured, and go scout it out in a shuttle first.
Using those ideas, I went here and found these lvl1 Gallente corp agents in Minmatar territory.
I leave it up to you to experiment and find more agents.
Disclaimer: lots of people are going to have lots of opinions on where you're safe or not. So, you're not really safe anywhere. But, to fly and expect CONCORD retaliation if someone messes with you, .5 and higher should suit you nicely. You'll probably still die if they really want you dead for some reason, but at least CONCORD will pound them into sand for you.
