Okay this part a personal gripe, because the whole tactic stinks. But in light of what looks to be some new war Dec mechanics. I wonder if CCP have worked out to change this...
Currently an orca can scoop any ship, size dependent to its bay.
Now it's an exploit to do this to avoid concord, but unless I missed something not in a normal fight.
So the tactic, buy one t3 cruiser and tank buffer fit.
Pick any fight you like and start shooting
When it starts to go wrong, don't panic. Grab your trusty neutral orca alt and warp in. Eject from your t3 and scoop to the orca.
But wait eject!!! Yes once ejected for your hostiles to get the ship they must all unlock it. A locked ship can't be boarded.
BUT A LOCKED AND AGGRESSED SHIP CAN BE SCOOPED, WITH NO AGRO TRANSFER TO THE ORCA
Serriously a lame and exploitative tactic and I wish they would change it.
I have no issues loading a fight to my stupidity I'm pro at that :-) but denied a kill to a loop hole sucks
Actually has this been changed? Drink not helping :-) |

An unmaned T3 dies extremely fast. if you can scoop it before it pops power to you, doubt it.
Pretty sure this will get fixed in the new crimewatch stuff, as they talked about fixing the orca problem. |

you dont need to eject....
you just fleet the orca, config it for fleet use and store the ship directly.
afaik, this will be fixed with the new suspect flag thing theyre bringing in (not 100%, don't quote me) |

Actually has this been changed? Drink not helping :-) Ejecting removes ALL skill bonuses from a ship. Most will simply explode the instant you eject.

Considering that people tend to fly battleships in any situation that requires "serious" fighting this isn't exactly a useful tactic for wars. |
