ok... so i have all these LPs for matar, i've been sitting on them for the time being as i'm not sure how to maximize my isk return.
People seem to have their own idea of x LP = x isk but someone i trust said i should be able to bank a billion isk on a million LPs (not that i have THAT much)
What are the best ways to turn these LPs into isk for minmatar? I can't see implants being very profitable, and not sure the ammo would be the best way to go either. Not many people use the ships and many of their ship items are sub par compared to other factions.
WWYD (or what DO you do) w/ your minnie LPs? In advance, i appreciate all the replies

I'm guessing you won't get a lot of useful replies because trade like this is a closely kept secret. IF someone tells you what makes money, the market will be flooded with those items and they'll lose their source of income. I think in the end you'll simply have to do your own homework to see what might sell best.

i can understand that logic, but i can't say i agree. I doubt a forum post would knock the supply/demand out of whack?
Any item that is VALUABLE from an LP store isn't because its a secret, its because it has high demand no?

Being I'm lazy and I run missions for Caldari I shot for 300 per LP. Hope that helps you.
With Minmatar don't you have the afterburners and MWD? If so why not run the numbers and the cost of the tags and see how much that comes out to be.
EX: Most of the Caldari items = the cost of the tags and the isk cost. They value the LP at 0. Don't be like the Caldari mission runners, big numbers don't mean big value.

I am currently getting 3500+ for an Amarr NPC corp LP. The payout is not immediate, but can be done if you do your research and find the right market.
You literally need to check every item (do implants last) and see what the total cost in Isk is to you. (Isk + Tags + Module + whatever). Subtract this amount from the market price and then divide by the number of LP's it cost. The result is how much you're getting per LP.
Another poster was correct in stating that the market can be flooded with high-profit items. A lot of LP's are being wasted on low return stuff, and once the word gets out the market changes very quickly.

Part of high demand for items is low supply, so if someone yells out loud "High profit to be made on X item!!" then people will shift supply to meet that profit margin, thus dropping prices and reducing margins. Simple economics.
Don't confuse 'valuable' with 'profitable' - one is a question of utility, the other is an issue of pricing. It's absolutely the case that people achieve high margins through thorough research and time spent analyzing market trends, etc. The results of that analysis are definitely trade secrets.

I have LP's with the Republic Justice Department. ...which I'm just piling up for the moment.
For estimating the money i can make from it, i only look at the items i can get in exchange for "LP+isks" (because i don't want to bang my head counting the price of tags). Then I check the value of the item in the market (ammos, implants, skillbooks) or in contracts. Market can be more reliable tough, if you consider items that sell in big volumes every day.
I didn't do a thorough homework but it seems my LP can be valued at 1000 isk per LP. But I'll let you figure out which items to pick. YOUR homework!

Faction ammo is usually more profitable than other items (I'm currently getting about 2000ISK/LP by selling faction ammo). But to get the most profit from it you will need to put it all up in a sell order then wait weeks for it to sell.
If someone undercuts you, wait till after the weekend before you even think about dropping your price. If you have set a good price they will sell out and buyers will still buy some of your ammo.
But this ISK will come in slowly, instead of in one large lump. Some people can't stand waiting so long for it to sell, and dedicated mission runners will be earning LP faster than they can spend it unless they sell quite a few types of ammo, so a lot of people will stick to the lower ISK/LP ratio items.
My other piece of advise is to consider hauling the ammo to somewhere where you can get a higher price for it. At the very least, get it to a trade hub. ---------------------------------------------- I support skill queues |

Faction ammos. Sell them in high-sec systems boardering low-sec near 0.0 outside of Minmatar space. The further away from Minmatar space the better.

I use my LP to maximize my SP, not my ISK . All my clones have +4 Imps and I PVP a lot (0.0)

Even doing that I think its cheaper to buy them off the market.
If you think corp is different than a guild or clan you have some insecurity issues.

I find that faction ammo sell rather well with good pricing. Often the sell orders are the people asking so much that only a few people are willing to buy and buy orders are those who give so little only a few want to sell. So what you do is put up your order in the middle and it will sell fast enough. Carbonized lead and EMP are probably the best to trade, in pvp you don't really want to bother with too many ammo types so one long range and one short range is good enough.
