So.... which part of "Supply and Demand" didn't you (and the others in that thread) understand in Economics 101?

Facts:

1. GTC prices are now equal to subscription prices, so GTC buyers are exactly as well off as others.
2. 60 day GTC's can be split in two 30 day GTC's, so the "Bring 30 day cards back" is void.
3. We currently have an economic downturn. This means fewer people want to part with RL ISK for GTC's to sell for EVE ISK. It also means that more people want to BUY GTC's for EVE ISK instead of spending RL ISK for game time. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that means higher EVE ISK price for GTC's.
4. This is completely outside CCP's control. If they lowered the RL ISK price of GTC's, they'd have to lower the monthly subscription costs too. In other words, THEY'D LOSE MONEY! For it to matter, they'd have to lower prices significantly, like to half, meaning their other prices would have to drop too. I don't see them throwing away half their revenue....
5. If you can't afford to play this game using RL ISK, you should spend your RL time working for RL ISK, not playing a game.
