I have come a long way since joining Eve over 5 years ago. I started off as nothing but a miner, using my tormentor Frig Class ship mining, not for isk, not for a nice PVP ship, but so I could get myself into the Bestower so that I could mine at night while I slept afk in belts and come back with a full cargo hold so that one day I may be able to afford the Maller, Cruiser Sized Ship.
Since then I was one of the first to have a Armageddon, running around in local people would look at it and tell me what a Great ship that was, and how did you get one? I lost that first ship attacking someone that stole ore from me, not understanding game mechanics at the time. I proudly tanked Concord in my Geddon for over 60 seconds, but soon it went pop and I was back to my cruisers.
I later started working on my way through starting my own corp, Power Corrupts Corp, bringing in over 100 members all industrial types like myself, we had no real goals other than mine our hearts out and build battleships!!!
Later PCC merged with other corps which merged with other corps and PCC became a forgotten venture. My PVP brothers moved on with those corps, but I remained an industrialist at heart. I heard of these IPO's starting up, ISS brining in billions of others isk to make isk for them and yourself. My name was known in the POS channels due to help I have given to many, and I Proton Power started PCT, what started as a POS IPO and later turning into a T2 Component IPO. This IPO is probably the 2nd greatest thing I have accomplished in my time as an industrialist in Eve, the greatest being the help and starts I have given to many new industrialists trying to start out.
I ran PCT for a little over a year, and then received new orders in RL to a Destroyer Class Ship in the USN. With this change in RL I closed PCT with the hopes I would come back with a bigger better plan. In RL a few other changes occurred, I decided to marry my wonderful wife and 2 weeks later I was fighting RL Pirates for 6mths thousands of miles away from her and Eve. On the way back from this I came up with multiple grand schemes, and plans that would make everyone rich including myself, finally sticking to one of the plans opened up a 2nd IPO.
This IPO was a failure from the start, I was gone from Eve to long, to many changes, and not enough time to adapt to make the IPO as great as the first, and if it could not be better than the first I wanted nothing to do with it. It closed as probably my biggest failure as an industrialist in Eve.
While that IPO was closing I was offered a spot with EBANK, a great opportunity that requires less time and still help what is now the biggest most successful company in Eve. I hit EBANK running, trying to create change, helping anywhere I could, starting up new programs, showing and teaching them things I have come to learn over my experience in Eve. Helped them run a program worth well over 400bil isk, and anything else that I could get my hands into. I then received another RL drama, I was going back to help the Army this time. I turned over most of everything I was running, EBANK was stuck with some things I helped the get started, but had all intentions on coming back again.
Later 3 days(ish) ago a new Drama hit my email, my orders are canceled, I am no longer needed for the operation I was assigned to. Great news, but during all these times, all this change my mind is running 300 different ways, I am becoming more aggressive in EBANK, I am thinking on the past still and hard for me to move with the future. It is then and now that I realize it is time for me to retire from EBANK, MD, and all future MD projects, IPO's and Bonds.
It has been fun, I have ran 1 great IPO, failed at 1 IPO, got to work with some great people in EBANK, made some great friends in MD, helped 2 IPO's, and 2 Bonds get off the ground, helped multiple others with industrial type questions and goals, gave away over 25bil.

To my friends, I appreciate the support you have given me over time. To my enemies, I appreciate the things you have shown me to improve.
Special Thanks To (In no particular order) - Goldhorn - You helped me get my first IPO off the ground and your not even known in the MD community. Thank You.
Tree - You have always been a good person to talk to, you helped me continue my success with my first IPO giving me one of my few contracts.
OmberZ - Same as above.
Motivated Profit - I will always consider you a friend, no matter what sides of the field we may play in.
EBANK - For my chance to help run something bigger than anything, it was fun and enjoyed most of it.
I will still be around in COAD and fighting for a cause, if you need me I am not hard to find, enjoy and GL MD.
- I do not plan on responding in this thread, for those with serious questions or thoughts convo me this coming weekend when online.

Okay I lied have to post to this...
No I am not quiting Eve, I am leaving the MD community. My goal is to not even read it anymore to prevent posting, but time will tell on that. I will not be sponsoring, helping, running any old, new, or anythign of the sort IPO's, Bonds, Banks or what ever else you can call them. I plan on taking my small foturne and losing ships for the next few years.

PP,
I doubt you're gone for good. A man who runs a 400B ISK project knowing he won't even get paid for it can't stay away forever. So, enjoy the vacation, get in some good pew, pew and all but when you're looking for investors again, drop me an eve-mail.

Good luck Proton,
Thanks for all of your help with the internals of EBANK. Whilst there were plenty of battles I think we also suffered plenty of victories (and losses ). Either way our production operation would have never gotten anywhere near it did without you.
I hope this resignation can allow you to be able to put some more focus on that wife of yours. I'm sure she gets plenty of your powers as it is but give her more. A wife with the dedication to install your POS jobs and even update 20-40 sell orders 20+ times a day whilst she is working her own RL job is truly amazing. My wife cringes when I simply mention Eve or load up the login screen
I'm sure we will keep in touch via email/msn etc so it's not goodbye but have fun with your pewpew Thanks again from the whole EBANK crew for all of your contributions.

I remember getting mine 4 years ago and also feeling much the same pride and joy. Call me sentimental, but I still have that exact same geddon sitting in a lonely station. Never could get myself to sell my first ever Battleship :)
Have fun with the rest of Eve - there's plenty of it.

Ever consider maybe the Elitists are fronting the hostile attitude to keep away the unworthy?
So please, for the sake of all the new player you so desperately want to protect, go spread the word that MD is hostile and to stay out if they know what is good for them. Also tell them if, don't bother coming here looking for information unless they already know the answer!
