In what military experts are calling a disastrous defeat for the mighty capital fleet of Elitist Cowards, two carriers were lost in action late this evening.
EC had staged a handful of carriers in a small tower that was later put into reinforced mode by the NC in the L-SCBU in Fade.
It is not known if the carriers were repairing the POS, or were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Striking with lightning precision and epic blobbage, a Northern Coalition fleet surrounded the tower with HICs and Dictors and deployed bubbles. As panic spread through the enemy ranks, a force of nearly one hundred NC battleships and support warped in on the POS, immediately followed by a hot drop of a similar number of NC capitals.
Some of the enemy managed to cyno out, but a Thanatos and Chimera were trapped. The tower was melted within several minutes, and the EC carriers were demolished inside of a minute.
The NC reported the loss of a single covert ops vessel following the action. The pilot was successfully recovered.
While some may decry the use of overwhelming force on such an overmatched target, these same individuals probably don't hold space and as such do not merit opinions.
Top intelligence analysts are speculating that this turn of events may be the turning point in Elitist Cowards' much trumpeted offensive into the Fade region, and that evacuation plans are already being drawn up for a return to Empire for the much maligned capsuleers.
These analysts are also drawing comparisons from this action to the cleansing of Fountain from the Elitist Cowards' influence by the Sons of Tangra, albeit on a much smaller scale.

For the record the 2 carriers that did not manage to cyno out were closer to the tower than I was, so credit your kills to desynch. 
Also, be sure to thank GUARD for the replacement tower we took from them mere hours later from the same moon.

Also, to take full responsibility, this was a FREEE corp tower and op, no other EC were harmed in the destruction of this tower.
We were bored, we saw an empty Prom moon, so we took it. Nothing but pixels in the end.
Nice fleet though.

Ah well, harry. Sorry to disappoint you.
You came in here claiming that we couldn't beat you outside EU TZ. You were wrong.
It's pretty childish to take that out on us on the forums instead of ingame, but it's pretty much to be expected.
When ATLAS first came up here, we actually showed a little trepidation, were a little more careful when we deployed caps in US TZ, spread our scouts just a few systems further.
What a disappointment.
It is, however, pretty cute to watch you imagine that Fred0 or people as chill as him really give a **** what you have to say, though.

Note to self: The NC can field enough caps to melt a tower before you can slowboat out of range of a bubble in a carrier. I've never seen 200+ ships jump in at once so that's cool, in retrospect I wish I would have asked CCP to reinforce the node however. The NC caught us fair and square regardless, but that doesn't mean I enjoy sitting there unable to move for a good minute.
Oh, and at a "Fade offensive". With all due respect we're just up here to cause a mess since it was our old home - unless the day comes that we can beat the whole NC, I don't expect to actually launch an offensive or actually take Fade. With that said, this won't be changing anything, there's still plenty of people to shoot in the North so I think we'll stay.

Yeah I guess GFED stuck a tower there and unanchored it for some reason with our covops still in system.
But sadly, 200 ships entering a low-traffic system, it wasn't pretty. My carrier tracked backwards about 5 times before it finally started moving down towards the tower.  I got lucky and finally hit the cyno about a minute before the tower fell, the other 2 weren't so lucky.
