okay im hoping u peeps can help me here? 
how many research agents can u have with 1 character?
also how does the system work about getting bpo's is there a set time and how do u know which bpo your gonna get?
also has anyone out there been succesfull in requiring a blueprint in gallante starship engineering cos i got lvl5 and have had no joy  it just says patent helios?

With Research Project Management skill (40M isk, requires Laboratory Operation 5 and Research 5) you get one more agent per level. Without it you can only use one.
The blueprints are handed out by means of a lottery, the research points are the tickets so the more you have the greater your chance. And since it's a lottery there is no way of telling which blueprint you may get (other than it's one of those listed for the field), or if you will get one at all.
And yes, I have an interceptor blueprint as proof of being successful (perhaps lucky is the proper word) in that field.
