Im having a similar Problem, with some strange sounds coming through my speakers which make Eve sound like its being played through an old Record player :/
I run 2 accounts through this computer and it performs great until it crashes randomly, the time interval is varied from 2 minuites through to 8 hours.
I have two seperate installs of Eve, one for each account, both installs crash at random(never both at the same time). Ive noticed that the crash is less likely to happen if i use just 1 account or am pretty idle with both accounts, this doesnt solve it tho and it still happens.
While using 1 account to mine and the other to haul, my miner CTDs (no error) i reconnect then head back to the mining spot, the same account then CTDs (same as before without an error) just before i get back to my mining spot. Then all will be well for a random length of time then it will start again, maybe the hauler this time. Rinse and start again.
My system spec is as follows:-
P4 3 Gig 1 Gig RAM DFI 865PE Infinity Motherboard. Gainward gForce4 Ti4200 8x CMI9739A 5.1 sound CODEC.
This has only started since i moved over from an nForce2 Athlon system.
Im on the latest drivers for everything apart from the gForce, im using the 53.03 drivers to rule out any problems with Eve.
Im thinking that the onboard sound chip may be causeing my crashes due to the old Vinyl sound accasionally coming from my Speakers.
Can any1 confirm that this sound system is the problem, I spend cr@p loads on computers as it is (so my wife says) so I dont wanna shell out for new stuff if I can avoid it.
Also if its is the sound, then what sound system is recommended for Eve?
Thanx in advance.
