Allright. I've read and re-read the instructions from this forum and i'm totally lost. I downloaded EVE again and installed it in a separate location from my main EVE Installation, but after that i'm confused. Do I need to download the patch, or do I need to add the addition to the "Target" of the shortcut, or both? Also, when I download the patch will it just patch over my main install, or can I change what folder it installs to? Help would really be appreciated.

I agree I can't get any patch to work nor name anything on a shortcut with punctuations by the computer. T_T I even downloaded a second client still nothing from trying same thing as above. However I did manage to use the test server once on this comp so its gotta be possible just I don't know what I'm doing wrong or if the files not matching up right. Assuming before the small patches made for TQ earlier were not meant for sisi. That could be why neither patch does anything or it trying to connect to TQ and fully switching over to sisi on the separate folder. ^_^ None the less, I need help on this interesting issue too.

When I attempt to add the "/server:87.237.38.50" to the end of the shortcut it gives me a message saying that it's invalid and I need to check the target path or something.

Edited by: Ric Adburr on 08/12/2008 19:54:19 Ah. I figured it out.
In Windows XP, the Target link is contained within quotation marks. I placed the "/server:87.237.38.50" after the quotations, instead of inside them. It looks like this Vicious:
"X:\Program Files\CCP\EVETestServ\eve.exe" /server:87.237.38.50
