There was a hire pilots post on the previous page, but that was for a different idea to what i am thinking of, so here goes.
Using the missons section (sme tab as escrow) is often annoting because the deposit is often ridiculous prices and have insignificant rewards. i am thinking, what if this section was used in the opposite way.
1.Pilots could post their name, corporation, range and cost per jump (possibly a notes section is also good like a bio but specific for this).
2.Employers could look through a list of people that are available for their constellation, select them, type in the source/destination and enter the items they want shipped as well as the deposit required.
3. The pilot recieves a pop-up with their pick-up, destination and cargo capacity of cargo (items not included) and pay (shortest route jumps x pay per jump) which they then accept or decline. An accept goes in their misson journal.
4. The pilot then just picks up the package from the source and transports it like a regular package.
This idea would promote certain pilots or corporations to be good, trustworty shipping people and can create a new breed of business people. Trustworthy groups may be trusted with more volatile equipment that normally could not be trusted to others or have too high a deposit, these people would also naturally increase their price per jump as they would be more sought after.

Sweet Ideal, I really like it!
It would also give pirates people to chase after, knowing they carry more expensive valuables ! I love it, is sounds like a great ideal all around!

I am suprised only one person said anything about this... I thought it was one of my best ideas...

I like it, the current system is a bit worthless.
Who wants to haul 100m3 of goods 8 jumps for 50k?
