Hi All,
I dont want to rat in 0.0 but low-sec, what kind of isk can I expect and can I rat "safe" with a t1 cruiser there (cheap fit)?

Been awhile since I ratted in low-sec, but from what I remember you will find rats up to battlecruiser size, so bounties up to about 200K per rat. A T1 cruiser will do just fine as long as you have competent skills. In fact a T1 frigate can even do the job (although probably slower than a cruiser) with good skills.
As for doing it safely watch local like a hawk, assume anyone you don't know to be hunting for you. If you plan to rat in several different systems a frigate is probably safer due to its quicker align time when leaving jumpgates, so better survivability in case of gate camps. If they get a point on you your dead anyway in a T1 cruiser so warp time and small sig radius (longer to lock you) is more important than tank to escape a gatecamp.

Ratting in low sec is generally not worth it as the best normal rats have about 200k bounties, and depending on the location its probably safer and more rewarding to find a quiet spot in NPC 0.0 than rat in low sec.
If you really want to still rat in low sec its pretty easy to kill the rats using a frig, inty, or assault frig... Keep your eyes on local, and consider anyone in system to be a threat (regardless of sec status)

In Eve, just like the real word you need to take gambles and you need to trust people, yes you will get disapointed at times, but you also get rewarded.
I am taking up the invitation, knowing that it could cost me my ship, but also knowing that the risk is there for everybody, even for Criss.
In the end I will learn one way or an other, and I got a chance for a new friend, will you have that chance Alex? You can laugh about me, you can think I am stuppid, I think I will learn something new.

Early on when I was playing eve I did this as well. A t1 cruiser (or a frigate with t2 guns) with reasonable gunnery/missile skills will have little trouble killing low sec rats. Low sec rats increase in size and bounty as security goes down. In a 0.4 sec system the standard are destroyers (15-20k isk) and cruisers (50k isk). In a 0.1 it's cruisers with the occasional BC (up to 200k isk).
I do not believe low sec ratting is profitable for a new player (or an old one). The rats are not of sufficient value to cover the inevitable loss of your ship and probably your pod too when a year old hurricane pilot warps in on you 3km away and blows your t1 cruiser apart in seconds. I use that as an example because I was that mean ole' hurricane 4 times today.

you right this is not the much profitable, if you only speak about isk, but you learn a lot experience there. This is really not what empire mission farmer looking for, but this is a great way to have some pvp knowledge and new stuff about eve.

Grab a frigate and join Criss, if they gank you, well so what you lost a frig but i seriously doubt that they will.
You will learn a lot in low sec about flying certain ships and also about staying alive in low sec.
Sure unless get lucky with a faction rat or something the isk per hour sucks but i been finding myself doing this a lot more than lvl 4 misisoning lately, course i was ratting my sec status up but that is very hard in low sec as you see someone in local, run a scan and well you can figure the rest........

founed like 3/4 faction spawn but only the bounty was cool (around 500k for a cruiser) not any loot interesting (tag & ammo)

This is a big if, but if you can find a massive enough low-sec system with enough belts, it can be worth your time to prune them so you have all BC spawns and then chain them. But, since it's harder to lock-down low-sec it's not often done.
I'd much rather go to npc 0.0 and do the same, but it's worth a shot. _______________ Pwett Founder <Q> QUANT Hegemony

1. Grab a AF - and go to 0.1-0.3 system with 10+ belts 2. Don't chain the spawns, just clean them all 3. Officer spawns appear - these are BC sized as best 4. Collect the POS module BPC's from their wreck 5. Profit - best of them can be sold with 50-100 M ISK
