This is a cross post from the recruitment forums, but I think it would be slightly more relevant here.
For those of you in Gallente militia who have no idea what you're supposed to be doing or how to pvp, we're starting a new training corp to teach you the fundamental aspects of PVP and how to survive in low sec in general, and the FW warzone in particular.
Applications will be accepted starting this weekend (most likely Sunday), however you can go ahead and put your applications in now. The requirements are that you must have enough standings to join the militia indepedently (0.5 or better standing with Gallente Federation). We won't be handing out ships like candy as a matter of policy. You need to learn to supply your own stuff and fly ships that you can afford to lose.
Our instructors are knowledgeable and can help you with any questions you may have about the game (that have to do with PVP anyway). If you are in militia but have no idea what you're doing, I highly recommend you join up and start learning.

What about members from other corps within Militia? Do they need to quit corp to join the war college or can they obtain the lessons by staying in their current corp? I have some guys that should enroll in your classes. I'm assuming the classes are done via comms and there is a way for me to broadcast the schedule without them having to join the war college?
I along with the rest of the Federation salute you in your attempt to grow the next generation of Gallente combat pilots.
PS- I had the chance to review the syllabus a few days ago and it's just as solid as an EVE Uni or Agony Unleashed class. I would highly recommend it to any aspiring FW pilot enrolling into the Gallente militia.

Members from other corps won't have to drop, but if your corp isn't in GMI you won't really have reliable access to the instructors and the classes, since you'll have to be in contact with either the corp or the instructors to know when it's going down.
Also if you don't know what GMI is, then you should drop your corp and join the war college. You can always rejoin your corp when you've graduated. |

Be sure to train the Gallente's future ace pilots about how blobbing cruiser gangs with 40 T3s + Logi support is a great way to get fights.
Don't forget that they should carry a cyno and fuel at all times!

Nerdrage is just mad one of his pos's got reinforced last night and his guys were smart enough to use a t1 badger to try to remove all of the blueprints from it. Oh no smart wasn't the right word, it was a different one...

Perhaps you should add Black Onyx Society local chat protocol to your list:

Now, for those joining the war college, this post is an important part of your GalMil education. This is a textbook example of what we call "Damar's Butthurt". If you get into plexing you're going to be on the receiving end of a lot of this, so it's important to learn how to deal with it.
The most important thing to remember is not to accuse Damar of being a paedophile. There is absolutely no basis to the alleged allegations, and all it does is antagonize Damar. Similarly, smacking at him just makes him mad. What you need to do is respond to his hate with love. Tell him you care about him, that you think someday you could be friends, and make sure he knows that you're there for him if he ever needs to talk. |

This corp is the best way to get into Faction Warfare for new players. Quality instructors teaching essentials like fitting multiple cynos to everything, dealing with upset Squids in local and using bridges or stargates to ensure overwhelming force.
So far, this thread delivers. |

The only requirements we have are in our corp description. You must have completed the advanced pvp tutorial, and you must have enough standings to join the Gallente Militia NPC corp (0.5 Gallente faction standings). Otherwise, we'll take anyone who's willing to learn.
As for how it's going, it's still a bit slow. I'm smack in the middle of law school finals so I haven't been able to organize much, but the other instructors are picking up the slack a bit, though it's not as regimented as I would like. We still have more instructors on than recruits most of the time, so if anyone wants to sign up, go for it :D. |

Uhmmmm, not sure if we are going to that. The point of this corp is more to get the new players that would be otherwise ignored into FW. If FW is supposed to be easy-entry PvP it fails quite horribly.
We can do name calling classes, though. |
