I have just bought an Ishkur, and I am trying to figure out some nice PVP fits, both a rail setup and a seperate blaster setup would be nice.
I noticed that the last setup post for this ship was in May, have there been any improved fits since then?
Thanks guys

We get usually at least one ishkur topic each week, but search function sucks.
Normal blaster setup: [Ishkur, Definitive] Small Armor Repairer II Damage Control II Armor Explosive Hardener II
1MN Afterburner II Warp Scrambler II X5 Prototype I Engine Enervator
Light Ion Blaster II, Antimatter Charge S Light Ion Blaster II, Antimatter Charge S Light Ion Blaster II, Antimatter Charge S E5 Prototype Energy Vampire
[empty rig slot] [empty rig slot]
Warrior II x5 Hobgoblin II x5
Upgrading to best named nos is usually pretty cheap, allthough i dont know current prices (since QR ishkur prices spiked, so i wouldnt be surprised if also small nos for all AFs increased in price).
Oh and in before merlin with an AB rant. ---------------------------------------------

This maybe?
[Ishkur, mwd blasters] Damage Control II Armor Explosive Hardener II Small Armor Repairer II
1MN MicroWarpdrive II Warp Scrambler II Small Capacitor Booster II, Cap Booster 200
Light Electron Blaster II, Antimatter Charge S x3 Small Diminishing Power System Drain I (or any t1/named really)
Hobgoblin II x5 Spares ect
I like using a cap booster as you can hold tons of cap boosters and run that lil rep all day long. AB frigs with scrams are a problem so either bring a buddy or drop your cap booster for a web.
An alternative if you really want to use an AB is to go with that + micro cap booster II (although they cost a fortune) and you can bump up to ions + knave nos or neutrons + heatsink.
Rigs...eh I'm not struck on the idea of putting rigs on a frigate if you have 40 mil to burn you can slap an anti EM and explo pump on there to get a nice round set of resists. Otherwise I'd see about putting 2 damage rigs on there if they'll fit or leave it rigless for cost. ========================================

I'm thinking the AB rather than the MWD, ion range with AM is like 750m or so, will I be able to run the AB and orbit at range? i'm pretty sure I will not be able to orbit at range with a MWD. Plus a MWD will increase the sig a lot?

Edited by: Kessiaan on 10/12/2008 15:41:58 Here's the rail setup I'm using atm:
HIGH: 3x 125mm Railgun II Small 'Arup' Remote Bulwark Reconstructor (offline)
MID: Small Capacitor Booster II Warp Disruptor II Coreli C-Type 1MN Afterburner
LOW: Damage Control II 200mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates Small Armor Repairer II
DRONE: 9x Warrior II
RIG: Drone Durability Enhancer I Ancillary Current Router I
Expensive - costs about 71M, it's a great all-purpose (mostly) solo FW ship though. Has issues against AFs with explosive hardeners, but it swats solo intys rather effortlessly and does well against most cruisers as well.
I use mostly Fed Navy Iridium @ 22kms when shooting at other people, against rats I use Spike (at 32 kms - it can track with the AB running at that range with decent gunnery skills)
I plan on switching my fitting around some once I get my AWU trained up. ... besides, I've said all I'm going to say. You're reading my sig now! Bwa!

Generally the mwd is just to get in range after that you turn it off and circle at 500m (you'll probably still drift out to 700ish)anything with cruiser size guns or up is still gonna have a hard time tracking you. AB and blasters can work but generally it can take a while trying to get in range with it even with overload, if you do go that way I'd recommend using null.
As a second tackle or against big ships AB can be nice since with good skills it takes very little cap and makes you an incredibly hard to shake second tackle against big ships. Depends on the likely speed of your targets. ========================================
