Me, being a total newb to PvP, made a horrible showing of myself last night having totally missed the chance to web and scramble Fugazii's Bestower as it wandered by my Incursus frigate, and when he came back in his Rifter, he laid down some smack.
I stink at PvP, but nothing teaches you to be more alert than a good smacking around. Well done, Fugazii. I thought I was at least doing some damage but I maneuvered badly and didn't fight well. I deserved to lose that one big time.
Still, twas fun to finally get out in PvP world. I'll try to give a better accounting of myself next time. :) That was, after about a year in game, the first time I actually sought out PvP and tried to leave the world of carebear mining behind - which, as you can tell from my sig, is where the bulk of my skill points live.
I'm gonna learn quickly, though!
Anyway, even though I lost, thanks for making it interesting and fun.

Yah i saw it all, so many missiles man that was one of the best fights I've ever seen. GF to u both for fighting as i know those ships arent cheaap at ALL... If only i had the balls to risk my imicus like you all do... By the way, I'm lookinn for a pirate corp to join.

Not really, just allowing a few people now and then... Besides why quit the elite division for the regular one?

Literacy is a wonderful thing. It was an Incursus, not an Imicus. :)
And frankly, I don't care that it's a cheap ship, I'm trying to break out of the miner mindset and do some PvP type stuff. Better, I think, to learn in an expendable ship than to take my totally not-used-to-combat self out in a costly ship and get it smacked around badly.
It's funny, though, I'd have thought the folks here would be happy to see a miner shelve the drills and get out there in the thick of things. Aren't most folks here fans of the idea that people should do more fighting and less "care bear" stuff?
