Summary for the lazy 14th December, 2030 Eve Time Mission Running class Join the channel ôEve Uni Public Classö Join audio (eve voice) in the channel Lecturer: Cazzah
For all of you who arenÆt in the know, Eve University a large corporation in Eve whose sole goal is to help new players. We run lectures and events, do mentoring, etc. You may have seen us represented at Fanfest by Dierdra Vaal.
In our continuing efforts to help out the newbies of Eve, we have decided to experiment again with hosting classes open to the public. Normally you would have to join to get this sort of goodness!
The class in question will be on running kill missions for profit and success. It will cover the fundamentals of running a mission, principles of fitting your ship, how to use EFT to maximise your tanking strength, finding agents, salvaging, moving to bigger profit after missioning and so on and so on (thatÆs just off the top of my head).
How do you join? Simple! Show up on the 14th of December, 2030 Eve Time (thatÆs the time in your in game clock). Click on the channels and mailing lists button, and click on join. Type in ôEve Uni Public Classö and go ok. Now you will be in our ôclassroomö with everyone else. Right click on the tab of the conversation window and go ôJoin Audioö. Check Eve Voice is enabled in settings and listen to the class!
Incidentally, if you are interested in joining Eve University, or just getting help around Eve, donÆt hesitate to drop in our public channel ôEve Universityö. WeÆre at war at the moment so itÆll be several days before recruiting is reopened, but weÆll help you out there just like a uni member.
Look forward to seeing you there. Should this idea be successful, expect more of the same in the future.

*shrugs* Missioning is easy, I'll agree with you there. But there are a million wrong ways to do a level 4 mission. The right way isn't intuitively obvious. Once you've been taught the right way, it can be done in your sleep.

Stupid people who enjoy getting swarmed Goon style.

We never say no to more instructors. Contact Dierdra Vaal if you are interested.
Hmmm maybe this post should be in the missioning and complexes thread...

On a (somewhat) related note; If you ever want a freelance class/instructor for high-sec piracy, can flipping and related tactics/mechanics look me up.
Just so people understand what may be coming for them so they can avoid it, honestly

Heh Mattias you can respond on the post in the Eve Uni forums since you're a member heh.
Quick lesson on time conversion. Eve time is Universal Standard Time. To find out the time in your own time zone add/subtract your timezone number. US Central time is -6 I believe, so you would subtract 6 hours to give 1430. Then you have to take into account daylight savings if you are observing it at the moment

Easiest way to do this: Log into EVE with any character, look at the clock on the lower left corner of the screen. It shows EVE time. Then just figure out the difference in hours.

Class was a success. Had 37 listeners, 17 of them uni. ISD got grumpy at us for "recruiting" heh when we announced class. They don't like to help the rookies do they... Anyway, guess could be expected, will have to chat to them next time. Hopefully you'll see more of this in the future
