Hey all...
Aside from the -range/+damage characteristics of HAM vs HML, are there any significant differences between them when doing missions? I.e. is either any better than the other when it comes to hitting small fast targets? They use the same ammo so I figure they're the same as far as expl velocity and expl radius goes, but thought I'd check in case the launchers happen to modify those characteristics?
I ask because I am interested in increasing my dps versus BSes but don't want to lose effectiveness versus the smaller stuff. Thanks!

Indeed it is, thanks.
Now I'm looking for a spreadsheet showing missile types and their damage versus targets of varying speed and sig radius. ;)

I assume you have a spreadsheet program yourself to view the results?
enter ranges in one column and effect in the next column.. select and hit the "chart" button ;) . |

HAMs are not affect by the skill Guided Missile Precision, so the Heavy Missiles will have a smaller explosion radius if you have this skill.

Edited by: Leeluvv on 13/12/2008 18:36:41 Unless you have some unsatiable desire to do missions in a Cerb, you will get more DPS and more tank from a Drake, but you lose range and manoeuverability.

And this is why you want to use HMs.

I never understand why people reccomend a Cerb for lvl 4s some time. It can do it but the DPS isnt enough to maake it worth it.
If you think corp is different than a guild or clan you have some insecurity issues.

Cerberus vs Drake for L4 missions...
vs BSes ---> Tie. DPS is nearly identical using the same launchers and 3x BCU II vs AFs ---> Slightly in favor of the Drake due to drones, but I honestly don't have enough problem killing AFs with HMs to care. Tanks ---> Tie. Neut towers favor the fat passive Drake, but the dual Gisti Cerb handles everything else with ease. Fun Factor ---> Cerb, hands down.
Anyway, thanks for the info on HMs and HAMs.
