3700+ when I'm trying, with three accounts ending training very soon. Never seen it like this before, especially since I've seen the server handle a lot more people than are currently online.

wtf? evemon is telling me only 31k people are online
two weeks ago, there was 42 f'ing thousand online at once (which i believe is a record, if someone wants to confirm or deny this)

It isn't a limit on the number of people on the whole server, it's a limit on the people allowed on one node. Are you all trying to log into jita by any chance?

This happens every time a proxy server has a problem. This usually gets fixed pretty fast.

I doubt thats the problem. I was in low sec somewhere.
Also, the message comes before character selection, so I am not sure how node selection would factor into this - because it doesn't know at that time what character I will enter the game with.
Also, yes, it only had about 30k people online when I got the msg, and the funky "even if you don't see any progress be patient, you will be logged on eventually" message is a bloody hoax.

All you have to do is close the client and open it up again. You will then connect to a different proxy and normally get right on.
