This is not your typical recruitment thread. This is the answer to many threads I have read about the "powers" that be. "What do we do, or can we do about the powers that be?" "Who can stop them?" "Why don't we come together and stop it?" "Who will be our hero?" "Will there ever be a change in Eve?"
Your answer will be provided in the fallowing thread as written by CONO leadership.
This thread may get flamed, ripped, and or torn to shreds by the "powers" that want to remain to be. I ask you to see past that dear friends, and find truth and hope in what will be said by the creator of this thread, not the "troll-pro" crew. See the light illuminate the darkness with hope and the heart of a lion to achieve true Eve greatness.
About us:
We ride the "white horse" in eve. We stand for what is true and just in all aspects of eve. There are enough "dark horses" in Eve to fill a short bus 3 times over. We formed as a break off of IRC as a few pilots, and have grown to be a very well known alliance that fights like a lion. We have formed more than just an alliance, it's a family. We know when each others kids are sick, we assist each other financially in times of trouble due to todays economy. We know each other better than most of their families probably do. We give freedom vs. the alliances dominating their members. We hear your individual voice and respect your views. We value you as a member and respect that your ship loss/kill is what truely built the alliance, and not just one single person leading it. We use the "fairness" scale when determining moons and such that we take for each corp on a balanced approach. Unlike almost every other alliance where your'e held broke and in your "place". We have some of the best FC's in the game with 50-60-70 mil sp's. We have been through the fire, and came out roaring. We are relentless in our pursuit of the "white horse" being present in eve. We know there can be a change in the ways pilots look at isk vs. caring about the pilot next to them. We apply the portion of every man being able to fly a pvp ship and defending our values. We apply the portion of pilots capable of flying capitals, that they do so in order to change the way we play. (Fight fire with fire)
See weary members of eve, we stand true. You can change Eve. You can change the "powers" that be. It just requires total unity and commitment Unity: an undivided or unbroken completeness or totality with nothing wanting. Commitment: the trait of sincere and steadfast fixity of purpose. If your corporation attain's these two virtues, then we are right for you. Is the current alliance your corp in not lsitening to your corps views? Do you feel like your alliance has no direction and has grown stagnant in their ways? Do you feel that your corporation is being used more to hold space in an alliance with numbers rather than a family type atmosphere? Are you a corporation that wants the change in eve, and will commit the forces to applying that change? Does your corporation find itself wondering what it can do to change the way things are?
If you answered yes to all of these questions, then La Cosa Nostra Alliance is for your corporation.

Proposal: (with answers)
Apply and be accepted instantly. Insane right? What about spies? Spies can't stop 200 capitals dropping in on someone. What about communication? There is mail and sharing of Ventrilo or TS amongst alliance members. So we don't all have to use the same Ventrilo or TS? No. What are we required to do? Fleet up and fight for change. Where do we live? Wherever your corp wants to. What if we join and other corps are not as commited? Theyr'e removed and are viewed as a dark horse who don't want change. When can we start? First of the year when acceptance is closed for gathering of forces. What if we are miners and just want ore from space your fought for? Don't apply. What if we are a new corp and we need guidence and training? It will be provided. Will our corporation be given an equal voice vs. the corps that have been in the alliance for longer duration? Equal. What is the catch? There is not one. Who will decide what our targets are to be? A committee of directors from each corp, assuring every corps voice is heard. What will ensure we do not become like every other major alliance when we become a super power? Resolve, and dedication. What can assure my corp of succession of the change your'e trying to achieve? Thats up to your corp and how much you fleet up in ops. Is there an alliance tax? 2 mil per head/month, allowing for capital ship replacement for all corps. (lost on alliance fleet ops, mods are not provided in replacement) Do we have an alliance killboard? Yes, and must be used by all corporations, weather you have your own or not. When do we have to pay the 2 mil per head? Upon acceptance, and due final three days of every month. What if we can't get along with another corp within the alliance no matter how hard we try? The committee will meet and decide which party to remove from the alliance, while applying all fairness. Why do we need change in eve? You asked for it, and it is overdue. Do we need POS passwords in order to meet and fleet up? Common misconception for which there is no purpose nor value other than if your'e not able to defend yourself. Meeting at a place in a system to stage from and then leave from there.
Citizens of eve. Your time is now, more than ever. Unite and fight for what is right. Ride the "white horse" into battle with a group of pilots who know that at the time of the next sunrise, the "powers" that be, can be the "powers" that were. Some non religious people say there was a "big bang" that created it all and formed what is now the place we fly. Let us stand together and make a "big bang" that creates and forms a whole new place to live. I have played eve for quite some time. And believe that a change can be made. An answer is here. A solution has come to fruition. You are counted. You do matter. Your voice has been heard. You CAN make a change. Take carpe dium (seize the day) and change it into ****re art p=ster·s. Apply and be accepted today!
Bring the mentality of unity and commitment. All sizes or corporations wanted and welcome. Once you have been accepted a mail must be sent with your diplomat and CEO listed in it, as well as any pertinent directors. Also upon acceptance 2 mil per head is to be paid. (Capital ship replacement fund) Your corporation will also gain access to a CONO intel channel, as well as exchange Ventrilo/TS info. (Your'e welcome to use CONO's main ventrilo if you would like) If you have one pilot that is always causing friction within your corporation, please drop him/her before you join. If you have a pilot that is not into "team" play and wants a change in eve, drop him/her before you join. If you keep your capitals docked up and for some reason use them for hauling, don't join. If you can't communicate well, (I know it sounds funny, but some have a problem with it), don't join. If you want change in Eve and can commit every ship in your corporation to the fight, then welcome aboard!

I've had my first experience with 0.0 space with this alliance. When I first got out there I was so lost; losing mining barges and ships to pvp'ers, but now I'm able to hold my own not only in the asteroid belts mining but also in large fleet scale battles. I owe all that to my experience with these guys. I have learned to fine tune my abilities to assist in a team environment that is united by a common goal. We are more than just another alliance, we are a tight group of friends. Come on board I look forward to flying with you all.

When I started out in EvE me and a buddy had a 2 man corp together. We never thought we would get into an alliance. Within a week of making our corp, we met Adei, Kent, and the others. The some of the coolest guys ever. They took a chance on us and the rest is history.
Now we are part of an Alliance that stands by it's friends through thick and thin. La Cosa Nostra truly does stand up for honor and the right thing. We are fierce fighters, that never back down. We have stayed together through wars and we didn't miss a beat.
You owe it to yourself contact La Cosa Nostra. Nothing to lose and everything to gain.

This alliance rules guys. There is never a dull moment. We are always doing complexes and fleet ops, and the best thing about this alliance is that you will never be alone in anything you do again. We can help with anything from the best way to rig your hulk to tank in 0 space to buying you your own capitol ships. From the most experienced pilots to the newest ones, everyone needs a hand sometime and that's where this alliance excells at the most. So join us and never fly alone.

The one question you havnt answered is........wait for it.......just a little longer....ok, fair enough: What size (members) does a corp have to be before applying?
We are a newly formed corp and as such numbers are low but growing....as 24 timers count down

I do think what you are doing is an awesome thing and would love to be a part of it when we are capable of joining, the fee is reasonable and easily accomodated for such an undertaking.

I've taken my corp into a few alliances over the last couple of years & with out doubt La Cosa Nostra feels like home. It's a very friendly alliance, well organised & you don't feel out of the loop when decisions are being made.
There are likely to be a good number of decent alliances out there & for certain plenty of bad ones but if you want a guaranteed good one then you've found it.
If you are currently looking for an alliance to join then join this one. It makes no sense not to.

My corp has been in this alliance for 2 or 3 months and I've had a great time. Adei treats us like family,we don't bicker and fight,but we get the job done. I first experienced 0.0 with this alliance and I'll be here as long as I can.

CONOS is about family, friends and fun. When one member was having trouble with medical issues we pulled together to lend moral support. Another time one of our guys went out to fight over in Iraq and we missed him greatly. He's still there today, but now has a chance to get online and when he first came back the warm welcome was something to remember as 10 or 15 of us ganged up on him to find out how he was doing.
And in times of less stress we talk, joke, and laugh at life.
But wait, what about EVE? EVE is the medium we use to come together. It's the glue that gives us something to talk about and to do while we wait. We learn about EVE, grow around friendship, and as a group we move forward to up spur the way that the majority of EVE thinks and plays.
If you want to have camaraderie regardless of the good times or the bad times be they in EVE or out of EVE come join us. We'll teach you about EVE, or learn from you whatever it may be. And at the same time we'll grow to know each other as real humans and in times of need support each other.
Adie, let me know when you're coming to Vegas. The wife and myself will take you out to dinner.

CONOS is really all about being a member of a family of friends. We all have fun together and go out of our way to help each other out. Seeing the unity and commitment to each other rather than looking out for oneself is very refreshing. I am very happy to be am member of this family. I love you all and Adei I want to thank you for bring us all together. I hope that you will join our family and see for yourself the commitment we have for each other.

Adeimantus Qir of Cosa Nostra was and still is a good leader and mentor to a lot of corp members and Alliance members. With his leadership and the ones who have joined the alliance we will be power or rather happy to kill what ever we wish and still have a smile on our faces.
