Ok I am sure someone has asked about this already, but I can't seem to find anything on it when I search the forums and I am not really sure where to look in the individual categories. I just bought a new laptop with 64 bit vista instead of 32 bit, when i try to install Eve it tell me that I don't have a compatible version. I did a quick search for 64 bit vista and found a spot that says I need to install the libraries for 32 bit vista. My question is where do I get them and how do I install them when I do get them? I should also point out that I am currently deployed to Iraq and that makes it difficult to do anything on the phone. Any help would be huge. all i am really trying to do is be able to get on and keep my skills going while I am over here. Thanks all.

im going to guess its talking about the direct x libraries. I think This is what you might need to run. I seem to remember having to do it myself.

Can run it no bother on my main PC - x64 Home Premium. Laptop is x64 Ultimate and didn't need anything fancy either, just install and run.

Runs fine here with vista 64 home premium. Make sure you install directx 9 from microsoft but otherwise it runs great.

Works well on 2008 64 (standard). 3 clients premium no biggie. Kinda nice compared to 2003 :)

Well I have dx 9.0c already installed on the computer so it must be a corrupted download. I guess I will have to re-download it...sigh. Took me a week to get it the first time cause I am only allowed 150Mb data a day for up and down unless I want to pay out my a** for more and it failed on me once. I've already started on it again. I'll post what the outcome of it is. Thanks for all the suggestions.

64 bit vista Ultimate here and no problems mate. You should have your 32 bit libarys already installed on 64-bit its kind like backwards compatibility. ---------------------------- God not only plays Dice, But the Dice Are Loaded,
