i used to love my bomber. now it just suck.
anyway...that said...i like the idea to be able to fire citadel torps.
maybe give us some bonus so we hit battleships(400+?) for full damage?
in that case a taskforce from a few AFs and a few bombers could take down a soloing carrier.
AFs tackle and take out drones and fighters while the bombers run bombing runns...move in close while cloaked and fire your 3 cit torps. then cloak and reload while you move away before moving in for another bombing run. this is what i think AFs and bombers should be used for!! Playing minmatar is "like going down a flight of stairs in a office chair firing an Uzi". |

Citadel Torp launchers are the size of frigates. They're gonna be a 'tight' fit on a SB... -----------------------------------------

Torpedos wiht a range boost I could have bought. Citadel torpedos is just silly.
Stealth bombers are not the be all end all combat thing. They have one role, to take out frigs and cruisers and other small stuf, or to swarm BS's. Not solo pwn everyhitng

I like how people think they have a role as anti support small ship killers. Protip: They suck at that just as hard as they suck at everything else, have killed them in rifters ffs.
Give them enough fitting to match T1 frig tanks and let them use cov-ops cloaks. At least they would be fun to fly.

Lol you haven't flown a bomber have you? Fire and cloak... fail... Also, cloak and reload? you cant reload while cloaked.
Also, citadel torps expl rad and vel would take a HUGE bonus to hit anything BUT a capital. Using frigs to take down caps is the stupidest thing i've ever heard.

Well give them citadels then give them a 18% reduction in expl radius and a 50% increase in exp velocity per level :)

Citadel torps are a bit much.... I mean a group of cloaking vessels capable to make bses/carriers go ouch whilst being far out of their range?
Thats kinda like beating a dead horse(large ship solo pvp)

IMO it is missing a siege module and the ability to fit a capital shield booster :/
That way it could take down a MOM, which would ofc not be OP
Why would you let a frigate fit its self like a dreadnaought?

Although TBH SB are fine right now... at least.. mine is.
3x Limos Cruise w/ CN Cataclysms (don't need to spend uber cash for Arbies... makes this ship somewhat disposable unrigged ) 1 Improved Cloak 2
2 SeBos unscripted (range and targetting speed scripts in the hold) 1 PWNGE Painter 1 Damp w/ Range script
1 BC2 1 Co-Proc 2 (don't need t2 co-proc if you have better fitting skills than me)

Bombers don't need to be able to shoot citadel torps. All they need is an explosion velocity bonus so they can function as frig killers again, which was all they were ever good at. ... besides, I've said all I'm going to say. You're reading my sig now! Bwa!

They are around 3 where I am ^^. Still tho, a SB that get caught is doing ti wrong ;). But I pay the isk I need to get my shis as good as I can, within reason. :P

Why not? Because citadel torps would be a nerf to bombers. Your damage increases, but the HP of your new targets increases much more. Against battleships, bombers would be worthless without overwhelming numbers, and if you have those, you can win with ANY ship.
Oh, and the reason citadel torps are awesome? Siege mod. Without one, they suck. -----------

Yep, the stealth bomber wld be even more bin-worthy than it is now (hard to believe).
Giving a frig slow torps that do jack all damage to anything sub-cap (and still bugger all to caps) would simply extrapolate the current issues with the sb (have to stay on grid for missiles to hit, lack of insta-dmg, still relatively ineffective at shooting smaller ships etc). EVE history

A phoenix out of siege does 550 dps with rifts and 450 dps with anything else. That's with 3 BCS II's, all 5's in skills, and
A full tech 2 fit manticore can do 295 dps with maxed skills and fury cruise. Now, take the painful damage reduction into consideration, and any ship battleship sized or smaller will be taking at least half damage from the phoenix. Plus... if those ships are *moving*, you're doing even less.
So in the end, a single stealth bomber with cruises will out damage a phoenix with citadels. Even then, all damage reduction ignored, two stealth bombers with cruises will *still* out damage a phoenix. Unless, of course, the phoenix is sieged and firing at something really really big and not moving.

I mean, its common knowledge that cruise missiles are pretty fail in PvP, so why force a nominally PvP ship to deal with them as a "bonus"? Their alternative weapon at the moment is one that requires them to practically sit right on top of their intended target, which negates the point of their primary weapon system's extended range. If SB's are meant to punch hard at close range, why not make them properly set up for it. In the event of an emergency, my ego may be used as a floatation device.
